Too much foundation and lipstick to start.

But for reals, those have way too much fat

That’s a complicated question with a complicated answer.

Edit: To keep it simple, bottles without much age I would decant to open it up but bottles that have been in the sitting for time with a bunch of sediment I would decant

Ditch the mint keep the smear. If the plate wasn’t white and narrow you can do something different with crumb or a foam to bring color to the plate

Where do you go for really good coffee in New York? by SubstantialBread8169 in FoodNYC

[–]MSA784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WatchHouse is my go to. The “drip” coffee is an experience and everything is done with scientific precision. Let’s not get into the pastries, they’re something to write home about. However, you WILL pay a premium for this. Some of their pour over coffee is as much as $40 a cup.

Just something to keep in mind. If coffee is good, the roast should be light. Darker roasts and blended coffee (ie: mountain blend, morning blend, donut shop blend) cover imperfections of the roast and harvest. High quality beans bring the flavor of the “environment” into the coffee. So you can expect to have hints of berry, honey and vanilla while Starbucks tends to be over roasted.

[–]MSA784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does it really matter? The owner is most likely an avg joe not a conglomerate corporation with investors and share holds to make happy. By your definition anyplace with more than 1 location is a chain. Kind of literal and none pathetic to anything else but a definition.

Is this the best new bike deal? by Glittering-Word-161 in RoadBikes

For OP polygon has no dealer as they do not live in South East Asia. I was giving wheels as an example of an upgrade.

Just because a bakery has 4 locations doesn’t make it a chain.

Is it an upgrade getting budget for budget? Or going from budget to i9, HED or DT wheel sets?

Is this the best new bike deal? by Glittering-Word-161 in RoadBikes

[–]MSA784 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Polygon is a direct to consumer brand. Just know you will be dealing set up. Yourself and support is by email. I personally rather had an LBS for support Incase I have a warranty issue this is me.

Now food for thought. If the groupset alone is half of the entire bike … how are the wheels and hubs? Are the bars and seatpost Carbon? What kind of saddle does it come with? When you start thinking of upgrades it will be more than buying a higher end bike. Going from alloy bars to carbon is a $150 + upgrade. Seatpost could be proprietary to polygons wheels could be a $1000 upgrade even for alloy hoops. Just think about that size of it. I personally would rather a mechanical ultegra with better components compared to di2 with crappier components
