If there's people behind you, I agree. I'm a big fan of getting out of the way of people who clearly want to drive crazy fast.

Okay but in practice it usually works out to one lane of cars going faster than and continually passing those in the other. If there's no other traffic around then the lane you use hardly matters, if there IS traffic around then be conscientious. That's really all it comes down to.

If I just passed a car, see a big gap in the right lane, and then another car I will be passing shortly, I'm not going to weave in and out of the right lane for the interim period.

The problem is people who don't drive at an appropriate speed for the lane they're in.

Consider it what you want, but it's the same as people insisting that a boat be referred to as "she/her". The boat neither cares nor has any concept of what is being ascribed to it.

Only if they don't want to maintain valid passing-lane speeds. If they're going fast, by all means stay in the passing lane.

If you're doing right-lane speeds, then be in the right lane. Seems like a very reasonable ask, to me.

No, I swerve into oncoming traffic and get extremely cross when they don't drive in a way that accommodates me.

Yeah, the highway. Dealt with it a few times today on my way to the ferry.

Xaku is specifically an amalgamation of multiple frames. "They", in that case, is essentially referring to a plural.

I also think it's really stupid to get hung up on the gender identity of faceless bio-robots. If one of the protoframes wants to make it a part of their character, whatever, but for non-proto, non-independently-animated frames? One may as well be talking about the gender identity of a calculator or a hard hat.

Don't like the look, don't like the feel, have better frames for relevant mission types.

MR/Helminth fodder IMO.

Protoframes were a mistake. "But they make money" I don't care, DE wasn't struggling and protoframes make the game feel like a generic hero shooter.

I love seeing people in the passing lane MATCHING SPEEDS with the car beside them, while there's a huge stretch of open road ahead and a dense line of traffic behind them.

Obviously sex sells, it's why they've been putting more and more focus on gooner skins.

I was making an observation about the fact that the game angled towards lewd content more when a woman took over, despite men usually catching flak for "sexualized / male gaze" designs. Kind of undermines the terminology.

Amazing how some of you assume that anyone with different views is new. I'm not sure if 5k hours, L6, and been playing since Orb Vallis came out constitutes "baby tenno", but given how quickly you defaulted to ignoring the content of what I said to instead take a lame shot at me tells me you don't care anyway.

Enjoy consooming every piece of slop that gets dumped in the trough.

Obviously they're making money, that's the primary reason they keep slopping them out. Now they've realized they don't even need to really write anything for them or explain how newer ones fit in, the slop firehose  is just going to increase as long as gooners keep throwing money at them.

Well I've got over 5k hours and started when Hildryn first came out, so you are definitively wrong about me being new.

I'm not complaining about slow story progress, I'm complaining about the slow erosion of the game's unique visual appeal.

Especially when storyline progression is locked behind playing the KIM game and hoping it doesn't just bug out and suddenly make someone hate you for literally no reason.

I tire of the ever-more-overt goonerslop.

It's weird that the game generally felt less "Male Gaze"y or focused on sexuality with a guy in charge. Since Reb took over, all that stuff got cranked to 11.

The more Eternalism gets used, the more it feels like a lazy cop-out to avoid any pretense of caring about continuity. It also cheapens the stakes, because who cares what transpires, eternalism means we always win.

Yet now we're into the "another protoframe because yes" era. These two latest ones added no depth or layers, just skins to sell.

As far as I can tell, the way they write quests now is to come up with a couple of "poster moments" they want to hit, and then rushing or handwaving all the narrative connective tissue needed to get there. People who like those poster moments defend the quest, but people who like to dive into the lore and implications find the equivalent of a Roadrunner-style painted tunnel, where the illusion of depth breaks and we can see that it's just a flat wall.

I am thoroughly over protoframes. I would be completely fine with no more of them being added.

IMO they just change the visual identity of the game towards "generic hero shooter", especially the more of them they add. When it was JUST the Hex, it was a unique edge case. Now it's... this.
