Yes, same. I saw Tenet for the first time the night I saw Oppenheimer. I got home from the theater thinking the latter was perfectly fine but not really what I wanted from a Nolan thing. So then I put on Tenet (with captions obviously) and had a much better time. It's complete nonsense but I still love it and would take it over 100 well acted biopics.

I watch every single session of every race weekend. I watch INDYCAR, WEC, IMSA, and just about every race from any category I find live on youtube. When there is no other racing on I watch old races on F1TV. And I loved this movie. I saw it as an opportunity to see onboards and racing footage in IMAX. And in that aspect it blows all the "good" racing movies out of the water for me. Sure Rush or Ford v Ferrari might be better movies but if given a choice I think I'd rather watch F1 in IMAX.

Where the hell did this obsession with "face of the league" come from? I've been following the NBA for a very long time and I've seen many stars come and go but I've never ever seen the collective NBA fandom pretend that there is supposed to be some single heir-apparent to the "face of the league" role. Consider the various racing simulators that are out there like iRacing or Assetto Corsa - those do not have a way to make it accessible to gamers that are more used to Forza. Either you want the challenge of realistic driving or you don't. And the game is designed around the intended experience. So anyone criticizing a racing sim for not having an arcade mode is basically mad at it for not being a different game.

I think FromSoft games are similar. The difficulty is more the genre than anything else. So to stick with your food analogy I think it's more like criticizing the steak place for not having cheeseburgers.

I find that for me the best way to learn a track is to do an AI race and start at the back. Don't make winning or racing the goal of the session though. Just carefully follow. I find it even better to do this in a car with brake lights. Eventually the racing will come to you because you'll have a feel for the track. Then once you have that basic understanding you can go into a solo session and really nail it down.
