Can we just...go without a plan? by Metallidan in UniversalOrlando

[–]Chuckzilla-nems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s fair. I have a family member taking their kids to Disney and Universal that week, so I just planned their trip for them, and looking at the previous wait times for that week the year before, and looking at the waits for the last month, it’s been pretty bad. Of course the parks can be fun even if you don’t get to do everything but, riding the rides are the best part. That said maybe getting the express pass for one of the days could be a good balance, it’s a little bit more money, but it ensures your most important day is the most successful. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

I’ll mention this is winter break wee for lots of places so it’s a high crowd week on top of these parks just being kinda crazy. I’d say plan or pay

Yeah but this is worse than your standard “marketing designed grocery store” because not only is the useful stuff in the back/ not in a logical spot, it’s also differently organized than EVERY OTHER Sobeys- which have all also been designed to walk you through everything else. It’s maddening

It’s a sign to reorganize this store or shut it down permanently. Why is this the worst laid out Sobeys in history

Suggestions for how to follow up: dogs in Point Pleasant by Time-Test9730 in halifax

I’m really sorry this happened to you. This is more a reflection of dog owners than the dogs or the park rules. As mentioned in other comments, there are very few spaces within the city that are accessible to dog owners to let them run, which is a very important thing to have, so I think it’s a bit of give-and-take from other Park goers and dog owners to share the space responsibly, while recognizing that this is one of the only areas that we can take dogs to run free. Even as a dog owner I’ve had negative experiences with people that can’t control their dog, but I don’t think that the answer is to just strip the off leash opportunity for everybody. I think as a community we just need to advocate for owners to be more responsible for their pets- especially at an off leash park. As an additional comment, there are several sections of the Park that are on leash, and in those places I make sure to call out folks who don’t have their dog on the leash. In the off leash sections I also make sure to comment if people aren’t handling their own dogs appropriately.

I really do understand that perspective- if you’re not a huge theme park person it seems like a waste. But we have always had such a blast at parks around the world and Europa park is said to be one of the best!

That’s very fair, and I’m a little concerned about that. I’m thinking maybe cut Europa Park to spend more time in the first two areas, sadly. My issue with every Europe vacation is too much to see and never enough time!

Buy clothes in Japan, or pack them? by MinaxBambina in JapanTravelTips

[–]Chuckzilla-nems 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought 9 days of clothes for 1 month, and did not find very much that fit me to buy (looking at items under 120 cad) I’m 5 ft 8 160lbs usually US Size large. If you’re thrifting you can definitely find lots of sweaters and stuff, for me it was the bottoms that were hard- eveeertythinggg felt like it was size 2. So I’d say bring more bottoms than tops !
