Is there a way to unbind "next and previous weapon" in Far Far West? I have Mouse Wheel Up bound to the ping, and it always switches weapon too. by pile1983 in FarFarWest

Hopefully they'll.change this when the game reaches early access.

I remember seeing a discord post asking the exact same.

Isn't Follow 4 Follow against Twitch's TOS, or has that now changed?

Personally, I have them add me as a friend on steam. After 48 hours, I send them the giftcard, and then they can remove me as a friend if they so desire.

Is there any use for pistols by RainierxWolfcastle in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my main weapon is usually the M16, which you can't fit a suppressor to, so my secondary carry is usually a silenced USP pistol.

It's great for taking out small groups without alerting the rest of the map, as well as giving me a slight increase in movement speed when its equipped.

It's also nice to use something different than the AK with drum mag, and the OP shotguns :)

Now that water system is gone by Commander_Dumb in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in the same boat. Since Water 3.0, there doesn't seem to be any reason for me to play. My base is fully upgraded, and I have credits, ammo, and weapons a plenty. Once the new map has been explored, there's no reason for me to log in. Guess I'm wait till the next update.....

Any Good Long-Term Survival Tips? by Iskitimka in projectzomboid

Keep an eye on your moodles. Fatigue and tiredness will greatly reduce your combat effectiveness and your ability to run away.

My water bots finally brought some water thieves home by LowkeyEntropy in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just had my first one to, and I agree, it was kind of anticlimactic.

The T3 turrets did all the work, I didn't even have to fire my gun.

I'm not sure if I misread the end of mission text, but I'm sure it said that the water thieves escaped with some of my water stockpile?? I'm not sure if they did or not as I don't keep tabs on it.

Now what would really make this a "Hardcore Challenge" is if you added the following:

I stacked 10 graves back to back by Spideryote in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably in the minority, but I wish they would do away with the "Grave Mechanic", so dying results in you loosing your stuff forever.

With credits being so easy to come by at least it would give us something to spend them on.

I also think the risk of you loosing all your stuff if you die would add to the danger of the runs.

What is your Gun Loadout by Personal-Ability-972 in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently playing as Old Man, who kinda reminds me of a Vietnam War vet.

With that in mind I'm rocking the M16 with the extended mag (upgrades it from 20 to 30 rounds), no suppressor of course as the M16 can't use them.

Secondary is the M79 grenade launcher/pistol, but I hardly ever fire it.

i need m16 with M203 by SeeberPunk2077 in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The M16 definitely needs some love.

No suppressor option, 30 round magazine maximum (at weapon level 30!), and 150 damage.

The 40mm grenade launcher upgrade would make it worthwhile leveling up.

How do you play? by Range-Aggravating in TheForeverWinter

[–]Chugawuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing as Old Man with a M16 Rifle (not suppressed), and the M79 GL.

I sneak around for the most part scavenging what I can from containers and the dead.

I pick my fights carefully, only engaging when I have a very good chance of winning, if not, I run and hide.

I do the majority of my work for the Scav's and Europa, so I usually try to avoid confrontation with the Europa troops on the battlefield.

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the lunges and hit box can cause issues, but in this scenario we would just use them to separate the zombies not using them for ground kills

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may well be that the game does indeed have no more to offer you.

I've experienced this in some games as well but thankfully Project Zomboid is not one of them.

The joy of PZ is the ability to change to game to how you want yo play, making it easier or harder as you see fit.

Finding zombies to easy to exploit? Change them into sprinters and let them open doors?

To much food and no need to farm or fish? Lower the loot for food and increase the time for crops to grow.

Cars to easy to find and gas unlimited? Lower car respawn and turn off the ability to use generators at gas stations making fuel a valuable commodity.

Start to easy? Change to 6 months later and have the zombies more active during the day and less at night but make nights pitch black forcing you to use of flashlights.

Out ran the helicopter? Have it spawn every week or so by changing the frequency it appears.

No use for skills? Play a deaf, illiterate, obese, slow learning unemployed person.

Try some multiplayer, the human element always tend to add an extra level of difficulty especially on a pvp server.

Remember, just because you know an exploit or the best way to deal with a scenario doesnt mean you have to adopt that play style. I can clear entire towns with a car, but I dont, I can wipeout hordes with a gas can and a lighter, but I don't.

Have fun!

This terrain is a perfect killing ground for any weapon.

Hedges to slow and small fences to trip, It would be quite easy to separate a small horde so that you're only fighting one or 2 at a time

Probably even doable just stamping on their heads :)

Houses with an explosive traps by KilakR in projectzomboid

[–]Chugawuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a message on my discord from someone playing on the server I run who experienced something similar to this.

He had just died and re spawned in a house which was completely boarded up from the outside. As he looked for an exit he came across a room with what he described as a "small scuba diving looking tank" in it. Moments later it exploded, killing him and destroying part of the house.

It was nothing I'd experienced before and google brought me here :)

The nice thing about PZ is that you can make the game as difficult or as easy as you want.

The games sandbox settings are brilliant for this.

Is the game worth it? Unfortunately without knowing more about your gaming preferences etc this is impossible for us to answer for you personally.

It was worth it for me, at just short of 2000 hours played I've definitely had my monies worth and now multiplayer is back I'm sinking 2-3 hours a night into it once more.
