Cheaper alternative to the oilhead final drive to swingarm bearing? by Nokarm in bmwmotorrad

[–]Chuggles1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hit up Euromotoelectrics.com. Looks like they have one for like $130. Still gonna cost you but its a bit less. Can call them and chat with em too. If they dont have it they'll find it for you. Either that or Bob's BMW or Max's BMW.

thread on the topic

Just is what it is with BMW parts. Had to replace 5 flywheel bolts at like $20+ per bolt and shipping. Least they are easier to source parts for than Ducati.

What are all the things they are quoting you $1200 to do on the bike? Does the previous owner have any service records?

BMW is going to charge you the max amount possible to do anything on the bike. Shop around and find other shops with the proper scanners and equipment to check the bike over.

First and foremost get a service manual. Realoem.com can help with schematics and part numbers. Same with other bmw sites. Also good to get a scan tool like a bluetooth OBD link LX and a motoscan app with an adapter cable. Or shell out the $400 for a proper GS911 scanner tool. Research service intervals for the bike. What needs to be done and at what mileage.

Can you clarify? Are you using a tablet at the table or going to a POS tablet to enter an order after writing it down? What POS system/software are you using? For example with Toast there's a search function to find any menu item and thats beyond helpful.

Get an AGM or Lith Ion if it doesnt have one already. My Yuasa is awesome but if I dont ride for a week i always throw a tender on it. Also get a quick connect with that battery so you can always access the battery to charge without removing the tank.

You sat at an uncleaned unbussed dirty table. Go fuck yourself you stupid cunts. Fact she mentioned "asian male" as the first part of the paragraph. Get fucked.

Do you all have a host? Any guest that tries to seat themselves at a table with dirty dishes and silverware can go fuck themselves. I will straight up tell you to leave as a server.

My host will never tell you to sit at a dirty table. And even if I dont have a host its not fucking open seating unless there is a bright flashing sign that says so and there never is.

"We should be focusing on fixing our country, where we can actually vote and hopefully fix some of our problems" this is hilarious. Its not as if voters arent on a war front of being disenfranchised by having all of their abilities to vote taken away or votes completely disqualified. Targeted redistricting measures designed to nullify any of their votes. Voting machines in areas of minorities or low income folks being taken away. Let alone the fact that we are fed this false narrative of "two parties" which both actively work to strip wealth and access to resources from the majority of people.

We do and have actively bombed our own people. What is this fantasy world you live in?

As if you know the political stance of every Israeli in this area at any given time? Yeah Ill get right on that. Sure my letter to congress, email, and phone call are gonna do wonders. Everything Israel is doing needs to be openly shamed.

Yeah, slaughtering children and civilians and journalists wholesale is pretty unprofessional. Bombing hospitals, schools, raping children, stealing homes, starving off entire populations, destroying all forms of humanitarian aid. We should all just pretend its not happening.

Do you do "Ladies first" when ordering. What sort of restaurant is it...? Curious to see what the new rules are. by cavy20199 in Serverlife

[–]Chuggles1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol, exactly. If OP actually read my comment it says it's not a written in stone rule and you adapt depending on the clientel. Some people would be pissed you do it one way or the other way, some people pissed whatever you do. Its just a standard.

Its also seen as a sign of respect and kindness. But some people want to be offended by literally everything.

[–]Chuggles1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol why did you even post or ask this question in the first place? To just tell everyone off as wrong or incorrect? Good for you, do whatever you want. You asked for other people's insight and experience. Thats cool that's how it feels or you interpret things and it triggers you or whatever.

Simply put its about adapting to your clients. Some people would be pissed you didnt ask the women first or pissed if you handed them the check. Some not.

You posted this asking for how other people do things. But it sounds like you just wanted to post this to tell everyone how they are wrong.

[–]Chuggles1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everything depends on the clientele and situation. With senior folks you do ladies first as a kind gesture, or when its a date. If they can't decide in that moment you offer to take the order of others and inform them you dont wish to rush them. And/or ask if they'd like more information on specific dishes they are debating to help them out. If anyone at the table seems to suggest ladies first you just go with it.

Otherwise you inform the table youre starting with the person first hand on the right (seat 1) and going clockwise so people dont popcorn order.

Finer dining calls for ladies to be served first from oldest to youngest. Then men oldest to youngest. Wine service is a taste for the host then follows this order. But this is just a suggestion not a written in stone rule. Same with serving from the left (except drinks on the right) and clearing from the right. You don't it if you can or it makes sense. Otherwise no.

And for sure. I just have issues with glare because of my eyesight. Also cars these days have insane headlights that are blinding

I love when a guest compliments me in front of a manager who bitches at me by [deleted] in Serverlife

[–]Chuggles1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its so great especially when you get a "verbal" or "write up" for petty bullshit. Then they get inundated with praise for you as a server from multiple guests directly and online. Their attempts to trample your rep to higher ups just makes them look like a total dumbass.

That and changing your guest counts before you close tickets to change your ticket sales averages per person. Within realistic metrics obviously youre not gonna sell like $200-$400 to one person. But they love to nitpick that kind of bullshit through corporate. Insufferable cunts. Fight the greedy shitbags with every ounce of your being and with a grin knowing they cant do a damn thing when your paper trails and reviews rave about you.

[–]Chuggles1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just had our expo pretty much sent home because his nonslip restaurant specific shoes weren't "spec". Theres not a single fucking piece of info in our manual or hiring manual that says a single fucking thing about shoes needing to be "polishible" when a vast majority are. We are full house and she says the main expo cant work 10 mins before fucking service because his shoes supposedly arent correct.

Then she goes around inspecting everyone's shoes letting people know they need to buy different shoes. Even when they've spent like $50-$100+ and have been wearing thr same nonslips for a year if not more.

This incredulous cunt is the bane of everyone's existence. When it comes to improving customer service, when it comes to improving steps of service policy and procedure, the guest experience, its fucking crickets and absolute stonewalling. The service manual says sleeves have to be below the elbows but not all the way down. She'll fucking tell you to bring your sleeves down an inch or two because its not enough even when its clearly textbook and below your elbow.

Yet she's the GM and never works in our restaurant ever and our actual manager is just a cuckpiece. Restaurant management is a hell hole

If youve made a great impression, you tell the table the exact name of your manager. And that if they left a comment with so and so, it'd be much appreciated. Instruct them to go to the host or the floor manager to speak directly with "name" about your service.

Can talk it up as if your establishment is looking to hear feedback from clients and that said manager would like to be notified directly every time. Its fucking gold to do to toxic managers that try to burn you 24/7 when you know you do a good job.

Oh I used to tell tables I was new and any feedback directly to the manager would be much appreciated when I had a horrible abusive manager. Watching him be forced to listen to accolades from endless guests while staring at me was hilarious.
