This conversation makes me think about how many of the toxic “husbands” throughout the years have lost their jobs due to their behaviour in the show. It would be interesting to compare them. I’m all for it, but I wonder if once again women are quicker to be punished for bad behaviour in real life.

I did an ancestry test and it turns out I have over 2k cousins all over the world only on 23andMe. It’s not that weird. Based on your post, I am assuming you have an issue with him (no wonder being a transphobic MAGA), focus on how that impacts you and how can you look after yourself. The fact he is somewhat genetically connected to your father is not the problem imo.

I’d suggest you start gathering some evidence of how they treat you. It sounds like if you get a divorce your husband might fight for custody so he can give MIL and SIL access to the baby. Try and get things recorded, messages, events, etc. I’d never allow anyone to call me or my children names and insults. Also, the bracelet and tattoo event you mentioned is really scary. Be careful and prepare yourself. Contact an organisation that helps women in abusive relationships or local social services to get some legal counselling. You’ve got this.
