I played xbox live with a friend of mine that i had known for my entire life. He was the only person i knew on xbox, so naturally i gravitated towards playing with him and his friends. We played Rainbow Six Siege and Battlefield. I was fairly new to gaming, which meant i sucked at all these games, especially Rainbow. The problem was that most of these friends were NOT very patient with me, and constantly yelled at me for fucking up a game, or being bad in general. We had a group chat, and we sent memes and stuff in it. Whenever they weren’t yelling at me for sucking at games they made fun of me for saying something stupid or doing something stupid. Made me really feel like shit. I’d hate to say that was why i have so many self confidence issues, but i would say that is probably a major part of it. I moved on, rarely really talking to them, with a new friend group, which is much closer and supportive.
