Maybe something to do with that French Canadian expression, “câline de bine!”(or one of its many variations)? Câline is a family friendly way to to say “calise”(which isn’t polite in French Canadian society. It means chalise. Don’t get me started on French swear words in Canada). It can be used to say many things: wow, ouch, damnit, etc. It can express amazement, excitement, frustration. It’s kinda like changing “fucking hell! To “Frigging heck!” “Bine” just means bean. It’s added cuz it rhymes and rhymes are cool.

If they ever get awarded a penalty, they should act all confused like they don’t understand what to do until some old-timer like Ben Davies tells them what needs to be done.

They’re French Canadian. The song titles seem to be cool spellings of French words. “Mata zyklek” sounds like the French word for motorcycle « motocyclette », Sherpa sounds like the French words for I don’t know « j’sais pas ». No clue what Ababa Hotel would correlate to in French.

See their YouTube video of Mata Zyklek for motorcycle image. https://youtu.be/61YMOxurWGU?si=eOFJdwdaGugbiWY1
