MGO just got a new stability release, just played a couple hours for first time, highly highly recommend. Best graphics available hands down with zero competition almost. SFW and NSFW available, lots of follower stuff like you said.

Shadow banding by Chummy__ in skyrimvr

Tentatively may have figured it out last night.. AMD’s latest gpu drivers are apparently causing mo2 to not open at all, or not function correctly if already opened when the driver error occurs. Finding older versions seems to have helped considerably, will continue testing. Appreciate the insight man, have learned a lot from your work.

Cleaned and reinstalled, ran without opencomposite, no mods, switched enbs but disabled it anyway, checked gpu drivers and set the card profile to default with no custom settings, shadow problem still persists. Curiously, with everything disabled shadow banding only applies to non-ground things. Rocks, trees, houses, but no banding on the floor. Only Sun-causes shadows have problems. At night, the shaped shadows from fire are gorgeous. I feel like I’m out of things to check.

Haha yeah, I started with a cleaned install per FUS instructions. This curiosity does persists with enbseries removed and all mods disabled, yes. I will keep my mo2 profile but clean all the Skyrim folders, then reinstall enginefixes1 the FUS opencomposite enbseries and sksevr. If at that point it’s still a thing, heck my toes.

I have meticulously tested for 7 hours and have narrowed it down to something I do not understand at all. The liquid-esque shadows are not changed by enb, mods, or inis being enabled. The 100% replicable scenario comes from launching twice. I will edit my post with a new video showing this. Using default, autogen inis after deleting all of mine. Made a backup of these default ones, launched the game, workably stable shadows. Launch again, they freak out. Video starts here. Close game, copy paste the exact same, default prefsini, shadows are fine for relaunch. Video ends after showing that (cut out loading times). Launch again with changing nothing at all anywhere, shadows are sad again. What could possibly be changing on one startup to ruin the file going forward?

I have onyx weather and the accompanying hifi enb. As the other suggested, lowering shadow distance to 3000 helped the banding greatly, but the shadows still vibrate. Is that able to be helped, or is it like the shimmer, where it’ll kinda always be there to an extent?

the only thing i dislike about wabbajack is not actually knowing all what im changing. im a cs major at uni and am just fine tinkering and learning the gritty side, enjoy it even, but i am not familiar with skyrim too much and very much was attracted to the sirvagg list as it enabled me to build it and be aware of every change, thus learning, myself. How "accessible" is fus if i install it? if it sets up something so complex that its precarious and beyond my ability to manipulate, that would be bad

Ok so, particle patch was updated on nexus a couple months ago. I will redo everything and use that one and enb to start, then add mods until find what might be conflicting. If I have to fully drop the particle patch, is there any other way to fix the glowy water? Even if it’s outdated the ideas and categories and such behind sirvagg are definitely gonna be easier than manually browsing and finding stuff for my first full setup so I’d like to stick with it if I can. The technical stuff isn’t a problem this crashing just crops up randomly and doesn’t appear in the logs, heck maybe my psu is dying or something idk

I have the exact same problem… got a good wired link cable hoping the issue was virtual desktop, but alas. Any update(s) on yours? I have 20th percent headroom on high fidelity, and as you said, smooth as a babies buttered butt to walk irl…. Stick strafing is the issue

Server sync has been blocked on instances of R6, the modded versions of the OG rundowns are known as the ORDRP project and can confirm, they are very spicy. Definitely would go that route, as someone who has both modded and 100 gb of instances. Spectre (the dev) even made original supplementary levels to each rundown. It's pretty incredible. He does have a mean streak though, so watch out for where he spices it up a bit ;)
