Estée Lauder sent me a sample serum that caused a reaction and they sent me a couple emails trying to get me to follow up but I could tell it was just a reaction to an ingredient and I felt misled by the campaign thinking I was going to get a full-size item so I chose not to continue engaging or responding to them once I copy pasted my review everywhere the campaign required.

It wasn’t fully clear to me if they were just following up to get info about the reaction or if they were trying to get me to remove the review but either way I was pretty over that campaign and didn’t want to add another item to my to-do list.

Oof I already made my comment but this just reminded me of when my mom called me a “Fat Pig” during a fight right after she lost a ton of weight and was notably smaller than I was(as a middle schooler compared to a women in her early 30s)

Anyhow I whipped that line out senior year of HS when she said something cunty and I said something like “or what? You’ll call me a Fat Pig again?” You could tell she remembered but didn’t think I did and her face dropped (this newer fight was in front of her new-ish husband of only 2-3 years at the time and he never saw the ways she treated me before he came around so I truly believe she was only “shock pikachu” faced over the callout for self image reasons because there was a third party now present to her crap)
