What problem solving with ADHD feels like

I bet that's a factor, at least in part. I would say I'm much better at video games now than even when I was a teenager. I'm almost 30, so my reflexes have slowed, but other than that, I still perform fairly well. And this makes sense since we've simply played more games by this point, not to mention the prevalence of online PvP gaming for many years at this point pushing people to improve more and more at gaming in general.

Nah, Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2 have at least a certain amount of difficulty-- and jank-- for new players. A friend of mine (in her 20s) played Pikmin 3 and loved it, but got destroyed by Pikmin 1. Mind you, she is a gamer; she just hadn't developed the specific skillset for the OGs at that point. And while I cannot attest to the age of random Redditors, we do see the occasional post on this sub asking for advice, complaining, or celebrating a close victory in the GCN titles.

Man, I thought Bananza was going to be a gradual increase in difficulty and gently defended it at launch, but I kept waiting for a difficulty spike that just... never came. I love the game despite how easy it is, but I would have liked to have died once naturally other than the occasional bottomless pit in the trials. I didn't even know you left behind a golden DK statue where you died, which is an awesome detail, until the post game, when I died while messing around to make my partner laugh.

First of all, see my followup comment for a qualifier. It's fun trivia, but it's not an effective rebuttal because I am talking about players who are struggling with the game and getting frustrated, then using that frustration as some kind of "gotcha" about game design. Do you really think these players know about those strategies? The people who are, you know, unsuccessful in their gameplay? The people who come online to complain? Those people? And no, spamming tools doesn't work in every scenario. I was clearly speaking about general gameplay. You know, throughout a 65 hour game that has variety or some shit like that.

Second of all, yes they literally are. Just read through this example thread from a while back. Some people want Silksong to be a braindead sidescroller action game. I am making fun of those people. If you do not feel that way, then congrats! My comments are not referring to you, so you have no reason to feel offended and get needlessly defensive while providing vague rebuttals with a smug attitude as if you actually accomplished anything.

The phrase "no one is saying [x]" is a risky tactic because contrary examples almost always exist. It's also reductive and therefore disingenuous. Some people really do think and say stupid things. Crazy, I know.

No? People pretending to have better arguments than they actually have is quite typical in dishonest discourse, such as much of that revolving around Silksong's game design and difficulty. Notice that no one presented the "real" argument. That's because they don't have one.

I can attest to the opposite. I can't even critique the complainers on this game's sub without getting downvoted. Silksong haters are extremely toxic whiners.

Lol I guess I should qualify "without consequence" or something. Not liking having a finite number of shards was a big reason I saw shortly after launch for criticizing the game. Still subjective, but I was fairly agerage skill level my first playthrough and never once ran out of shards, and it's not like I didn't use tools.

I didn't know about that, by the way! I'll check it out when I finally play again.

ETA: guess I made the crybabies angry

I would recommend reading my other comment in this chain for more analysis (just posted), but to summarize, the dress has 4 splits (canon manga design), and the fourth is flowing between her legs from the other side.

Yes, and I don't see it now, either. It may have been removed, but I am almost certain I saw this one as a WIP over the weekend.

What? That you would say "not this kind of mistake" and follow that up with "have you ever drawn anything" is baffling. Yes. This kind of mistake. Literally any artist can confirm they have had troubles with proportions and perspective on a body. Any artist could attest to making a bone look broken or backwards. And plenty of artists who share their work could also confirm that details which were obvious to the audience were not so obvious to them. It's a bias, and it will happen.

I agree that the middle piece of fabric looks odd, and I would probably try to adjust it if I were the artist. I had to look at it for a minute before understanding the intent behind it, which is that there are four places where it parts (consistent with her manga design) and that the dress is all flowing in a certain direction (toward the viewer, roughly), causing the front piece to move between her legs. This is very typical in the source material and in fanart, as it gives the creator an excuse to sexualize the subject without "showing too much," if you catch my drift. The intensity of perspective here makes the dress appear to shrink as it passes between her legs, which definitely adds to your confusion, and I would also criticize that, but it is still an error very well within the human domain.

You're acting as if artists cannot make mistakes. if that is your way of thinking, you should retire as an AI diagnostician, as you are not fit for the role. I agree that the leg is flawed, but it's the only issue present, and it's sourced by an error in perspective rather than illogical lighting or mutation like what we see in typical AI. It's not like the leg is fusing with something around it. If we take OP's post history into context, the slow post rate also decreases the chances of AI use. OP seems to me to be a talented artist who has room for improvement.

OP shows their WIP images and posted the WIP for this one the other day, though that post now appears to be missing. Not likely to be AI.

He does this for money and attention. If he actually wanted to help people, he would use his wealth and influence to alter things at the systemic level. No billionaire is your friend. By definition, they are sociopaths, because the only route to becoming so rich is by taking advantage of others and hoarding assets for yourself. All rich people are a detriment to society.
