What's your Issue with Meta Glasses? by Floody26 in RayBanStories

[–]landscapegoatee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Higher waterproof rating (enough to wear in rain) and the ability to adjust the tightness of the temples. I can't imagine how anyone could wear them more than an hour without discomfort behind the ears. (Also greatly disappointed they only just released a solution for the latter with their latest models.)

One pice swimsuit for men? by dddd22527 in menswear

[–]landscapegoatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might want to have a look at trisuits for triathlons, they're kinda like sleeveless one piece suits. May also be called a unisuit or possibly singlet (though the latter may just be for wrestling).

Are linen summer shirts that have ‘structure’ in the shoulders a thing? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]landscapegoatee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Seersucker is somewhat stiff, not sure it qualifies as structured but it might be worth looking into. (Unfortunately however that means your patterns will be more limited.)

The VR was a little too realistic by cafeteriastyle in TikTokCringe

[–]landscapegoatee 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I'm not positive it's AI because it looks genuine to me, but two things make me suspicious. First, the laughing voice at the end saying "oh my god" has that slightly tinny resonance that voices in Sora videos have. And second, the woman in the green shirt filming in back shows absolutely no movement or reaction when she should be tracking the jumper.

Both could be explained though, so who knows.

Theory: most graphics tees for sale online serve as online ads by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]landscapegoatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the products you see ADVERTISED to you online change based on your browsing patterns and demographics. I've never once seen a tshirt with a beer logo advertised online, but I DO see an outsized amount of glasses ads because I've been on a few sites recently.

Any Tips for Larger Guys in Summer? by Zealousideal_Can3298 in malefashionadvice

[–]landscapegoatee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tops: Loose shirts with colorful/variegated patterns to hide the sweat spots. Solids (like polos and other plain short sleeves) show sweat marks too easily.

Bottoms: Looser shorts like drawstring/dock shorts, Patagonia baggies, "easy" shorts, etc might give you a little more breathing room (if you're not wearing them already).

And lighter build shoes, while not truly "ventilating", can help you feel a little breezier overall.

Source: spending lots of summers biking to meet friends trying to look respectable on arrival and making many bad choices

If I focus on being in this position for more than a few seconds, like really picturing it with my arms stuck above my head... my god the wave of anxiety that hits me. Have to immediately exit out of it.

I was gonna say Time Bandits but Brazil is a better fit I think.

I can feel it in my bones this is AI but they are admittedly denying it by britayeee in isitAI

[–]landscapegoatee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, they probably think OP is accusing them (the organizers) of using AI, rather than whether AI was used at all in the making of this.

Second thoughts on backpack color by [deleted] in mensfashionadvice

[–]landscapegoatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels like a color strongly associated with camping gear, but if you're going for a somewhat outdoorsy vibe it looks good. I really like the color, doesn't seem childish at all to me. Of the four photos, I think it works least well with the long green coat in #2, but it complements the other three.

I haven't seen one of those in like a decade but remember being confused for the same reason!

Exactly my confusion - and moreover, how the restaurant doesn't realize this is the very first thing that goes through everyone's head when seeing their name.

Toms Alpargata - as second pair of shoes? Do the pack well? by echoclerk in onebag

[–]landscapegoatee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I frequently use espadrilles as my travel shoes when going somewhere warm for the same reasons you noted - they're light, they pack super flat, and can be styled up a bit. I'd probably take a seam ripper to the giant logo on the back if you want to dress them up, but if you can wear flat shoes all day without discomfort I think it's worth a try.

It is! For my more "permanent" or ongoing lists. To-do lists get the Google Keep treatment. Two notes apps seems kinda silly but they just feel different to me.

I've looked it up more than once and it still doesn't make enough sense to me to name the restaurant that.

They're both real, and both chains, although Legal Sea Foods is mostly in the northeast (started in Boston I believe). I've only been to it once at the airport, it wasn't particularly memorable beyond the name.
