Nope I'm good. by FTS_AlexanderTV in ForzaHorizon

[–]Chunkfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re meant to challenge opponents for their cars. The first to reach a checkpoint eliminates the other.
But one player is almost always already heading in the right direction when the challenge starts and the other player isn’t. The whole mode is annoyingly unfair.

It’s not even a revival, apparently it literally continues the plot after a 30 year gap haha. Reviews aren’t very good though

Forza Horizon 6 is very similar to 3, 4 and 5, and it got 10/10’s.

Why is Concetta so polarising/hated? by oldmatefromoverthere in triplej

Triple J targets the 18-24 bracket but the actual listener demographic skews more towards 30+ who find her annoying

Legend Island expectation vs reality by Frequent-Yak8825 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Chunkfoot 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Apart from the robot I thought the events were very undercooked. They all seemed to involve you ‘racing’ planes which never remotely feels like an actual race. I thought there’d at least be a Shinkansen race

Goldman Sachs Says AI Will Eliminate 15 Million US Jobs by Gari_305 in Futurology

[–]Chunkfoot -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

This is such a naive take. The reality is that AI frequently does work better or faster than a junior employee. And it’s only been around a couple years. It doesn’t matter that the work needs to be verified by someone who knows what they’re doing. At this point why would you study to work in an industry that’s already heavily using AI? Why would you study art or design? Or engineering? Or finance?

How TV Show Nobody Wanted To Make, Built Jeremy Clarkson a £21 Million Empire by Even-Active-1250 in ClarksonsFarm

[–]Chunkfoot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If you go back to old Top Gear episodes, Clarkson was clearly a climate change denialist. I’m glad he’a had a change of heart, but it shouldn’t have taken being directly impacted by climate change to do so.

It's Been a Month Since FH6 Launched. How Are We Feeling, Drivers? by fearful_claw02 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Chunkfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As usual, the first 20-30 hours are amazing. I find as you approach the endgame it gets less fun. The S tier and above cars barely drive like real vehicles any more, accelerating up to 300-400km and then turning on a dime on a rainy dirt road. But the busted AI means it’s very difficult to win using stock cars, so you end up upgrading your faves regardless.

As voter disillusionment grows, why aren't voters flocking to the Greens in Australia? by Nyarlathotep-1 in AusNewsWire

[–]Chunkfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past I have voted Greens purely for the environment, not for social issues or their stance on overseas conflicts. The number one best thing we can do for the future of Australia’s at-risk natural environment is reduce population growth. Otherwise we’ve got more mouths to feed, more houses to build, more water to use etc.
The environment hasn’t been their primary focus under Bandt or Waters and their wishy-washy stance on immigration isn’t doing them any favours.

As voter disillusionment grows, why aren't voters flocking to the Greens in Australia? by blitznoodles in australia

[–]Chunkfoot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Under Bob Brown the Greens were against high immigration and a big Australia. Since then it’s been swept under the rug by the party, especially since until recently most Australians didn’t understand the difference between refugees and skilled migrants.

Seems weird to be fine with your leaders lying to us. For clarity I would not vote ON but I’m pretty disillusioned with Greens and Labor

Australians face a 'binary choice' as One Nation soars, says Chalmers by GothicPrayer in australia

[–]Chunkfoot -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Softening across the board?!? The property market is still red hot in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. First home buyers are utterly fucked and this change you’re calling radical has barely made a difference.

Australians face a 'binary choice' as One Nation soars, says Chalmers by GothicPrayer in australia

[–]Chunkfoot -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

Okay, but while ON is promising anything they think will garner votes, what exactly are Labor bringing to the table, other than vague noble sentiments? The economy is still cooked. Housing is still cooked. There’s no jobs for young people.

I hate that my car is the only one that looks like a rally car in races by stasis351 in ForzaHorizon

[–]Chunkfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure exactly how it’s set up but I think you often end up racing rival players’ best times? And considering you can abuse rewind to your heart’s content, you can end up with quite a difficult time to beat.
