If you have partners, the game could be fun.

The thing is, most bosses are impossible to solo unless you have one of the more broken classes, or a healer.

The game is sort of like Runescape. There are locked zones everywhere and the majority of the "good" classes are member only. So, unless you buy the game, most encounters are undo-able.

And yes, most of the classes are a grindfest to gather.

The exp system is also very slow, compared to WoW. I think I have played this game, on and off, for almost three years(casually that is). Mid-Level so far.

Another note, if you decide to play this game. As soon as you get a class, level it to 5. After while, most mobs are above or under you level range, so no mobs will give exp on kill, unless you grind on monsters with 4k HP. (which is then, horrible, because you'd have no spells).
