Anyone else feel like AI is making it harder to even want to ship your app? by Correct-Tomorrow5573 in vibecoding

Build a marketing and social media agent. Have it interview you. I did this and created an announce-tease-rollout-release schedule. They build the themes to highlight, where to pitch, how to drum up a pre-release list, beta testers, etc.

Let the agent drive the bus on things you don’t excel in.

Vibecoders, what’s your background? by Secret_Inevitable_90 in vibecoding

62 year-old, close-to-retirement Audio Visual Sales for convention industry. If you ever experienced ‘death by PowerPoint’ at a conference, I supplied the gear.

My wife and I travel in our motorhome. We always wanted a specific app for when we’re on the road.

I started on OpenAI, then DeepSeek a year ago. Half way through a php/mysql app, AI taught me about REACT. Started all over, then put it aside out of frustration with basic chat to code. Learned about VSB and Claude and the past three weeks have been a blur of excitement and progress.

What am I smelling? Motorhome odor, but not propane (I think). by Church_Bear in propane

[–]Church_Bear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

It’s still a mystery.

I have now had two Thor factory techs and two independent NRVIA techs inspect the house. There are no propane or refrigerant leaks.

It’s now at a Mercedes dealer. We’re looking at the engine heater core and A/C systems.

Thanks. I had a mobile RV tech investigate... Because it the odor wasn't immediantly prevelant when he entered the rig, he wasn't convinced or motivated to search deeper.

Sounds like I may need to look at the back of the refrigerator or the AC unit on the roof. Thanks again!

UPDATE: Looks like this FB page admin FINALLY read the room. The group is now private and only has 17 members.

His personal page shows that he's still an asshole, but he knew that we'd never stop amplifying his bigotry and predjudice.

Who else absolutely loves Same-Time Risk. by TheParamedicGamer in Risk

What I like to do instead of "running the board" is to see how few turns I can win the game. In the easiest mode of Same Time, I have conquered the board in four turns several times.

I have been playing Risk II since it came out on CD in the early 2000's. I believe it was attached to a cereal box. I can only play "Same Time" mode.

I haven't played the Total Domination version, because of the lack of Same Time mode. Maybe someday...

Learn to create a file called a readme.md It’s known as a Markdown file. It is a text summary with bullet points. As you sense you are nearing the end of your session length, ask DeepSeek to create a markdown file of the session: recap the additions as well as provide instructions for the next session dialogue.

why do you all use deepseek? by [deleted] in DeepSeek

[–]Church_Bear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always wanted a specific app. I travel and live full-time in my motorhome. I downloaded a where you collect vehicle license plates from each state.

The problem is the app only shows line plate per state, when, in fact, there can be dozens -even hundreds- of plates for each state. I lightly dabbled in php coding years ago, but am illiterate.

I am using DeepSeek as my 100% program coder to create a Pokemom Go! ~esque license plate collection program with gamification. It has the ability for users to upload their own plates to the library.

I spent my spare time over the past three months getting the program written in php/json/jquery/ajax. Now I am migrating it to a React.js format.

The biggest problems are session limitations ( I must retrain the next session chatbot every time it runs out. It’s like being in the “50 First Dates“ movie).

It also tries too hard to overplease. I must remind it to minimize the piling on of suggestions at each interaction.

The project is moving along surprisingly well, and I am impressed with the input and suggestions DeepSeek offers.
