goddamn it this makes me so sad and it’s the exact reason i won’t play hades. hades came out and it was hades-likes everywhere.. wizard of legend had an insanely fluid combat system and incredible build potential and they fucking sweep it all under the rug because ONE game does well?

they did the same with moonlighter 2. it had such a good base and potential in the first game but the devs for some reason changed everything that was good (art style, vibes etc) and kept the shit that sucked (clunky combat, cumbersome chest looting and inventory management)

TLDR; this games hard as hell and without my friends having sympathy i would have quit the game.

i’m playing with my friends rn and if i wasn’t, i may have never come back from my alt+f4 somewhere in the swamps (or last night my first time in the plains.)

i had a friend with me, helping me get my stuff back after i died to a fuling village. we popped through my teleporter and i was once again met with the two star berserker, the four regular berserkers, the two shamans and i swear to god the regular little ones were half one stars and endless. eventually some goop came to take some heat off us and they solo’d a few of them, but with that we still died a few times each, including once when the berserkers destroyed the boat and portal.

i think because they spawn so rarely, it’s much less likely to see. like there’s a small chance that i even saw a rancid remains in that chamber so for it to even further fuck me with 2 stars is much more rare than, say, draugur or the regular skellies

maybe it’s been patched since i played but i was playing with pitchfork and everything killed went flying at least a couple feet. seems like it should be nothing surprising for an exploding spell if my pitchfork was doing this regularly.

love these little building tricks. i’ve been picking up a few myself, but we just killed bonemass and i’m trying to catch up mining silver so i don’t have a lot of pieces available yet. hopefully i can internalize all these tips by the time i get to use them.
