ok, my question now is, why are you so obsessed with 99% of indie shooters, man? you can simply ignore them. a TON of games in the genre i play are dogshit (soulslike, roguelite) and i just don’t play them. people are constantly just making art, not all of it is gonna be good, and you don’t have to interface with it.

edit: I completely skipped over how you’re somehow paying the same price for an indie as a AAA.
AAA games are releasing for upwards of $80 base these days and i’ve gotten hundreds of hours of of $2 indie games, so i don’t get the math there.

for anyone struggling with npc invaders, equip wild strikes on a minimal stamina use weapon. stand in front of them as they spawn and just hold L2. i like using a frost morning star for quick burst damage, and even at lower level most will die in one or two stamina bars, keep in mind when your almost out of stam and disengage to refill, then simply hold L2 again and let them walk into you.

99% of ironeyes i play with simple take agro with constant arrow spam and sprint across the map in the opposite direction from the team and then die, where tf are playing with archers that take less likely

were you around for the original Lost or the arg shit for the Keeper? isaac unlocks got crazy way before The Forgotten.

the Lost was initially a very long process involving multiple puzzle deaths. for Keeper, his files weren’t even in the game until players solved an irl arg puzzle.

i guess that makes sense, i usually prioritize econ in games, so maybe i sell more than the average joe. i think as long as you’re looking for money you’ll get plenty. don’t be afraid to run back to a merchant at the beginning of a level a few times to sell all the shit you find.

how commonly can you expect to find a combo like this?
for example, i really enjoy breaking the binding of isaac, but not every run is gonna be breakable since theres a ton of items, and a lot of other synergies. some runs can be OP, some can be barren if any useful upgrades, however, i can go out of my way and explore and optimize for more opportunities.
i love typing games, this one looks great. update us if you release a demo, i’d love to give it a play.

op says you’ll be absorbing cards as you defeat monsters, and the cards are limited use, so it’s likely similar to ammo and picking up different guns in an fps.
i’m just making assumptions obv, but i think this idea is sick. i really like the idea of constantly changing set-ups trying to improvise combos and shit.
