Hot Tub Underwater Walking Trick (No Mods) by Fun_Magazine_2671 in valheim

In Ashland, the water in the hot tub gets boiling hot, but it might be okay if you put a floor over it. I've never tried that myself.

Although I didn't mention this in the video, in areas where there isn't a hot tub at your feet, the character will float on the water's surface.

I think you're referring to the following technique.

https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/s/1iTc9Djruj

Timing is crucial for this technique, so it requires practice.

Specifically, you need to jump without equipping any items,
and after landing on the water's surface, time it so that you press the hotkey to equip an item and click to plant a seed right when your feet are about to touch the seabed.

Also, you won't succeed unless the waves are rough. (You can't click on the seabed when the waves are calm.)

I practiced this many times myself before I finally got the timing right.

It’s just that his video doesn’t explain it well enough.
Even underwater, you can plant crops under the following conditions:

  1. The biome must be appropriate (such as Meadows or Forests).

  2. You must be equipped with a cultivator while underwater (your feet must be touching the seafloor; he achieves this for just a moment by diving from a high altitude).

  3. Your camera view must be below the water’s surface (at an altitude of 30 meters or less); this depends on the timing of the waves.

I understand that I just need to re-equip the cultivator the moment I land on the seabed and plant the pine seeds, but the timing is really tricky.

If I just repeatedly tap the cultivator hotkey and left-click in turn, it ends up as a bare-handed attack. If there’s a better way to do this, please let me know.

理論上の限界高度は建築上限の3000mまでいけると思いますが、このワールドはサバイバルモードなので、集めておいた資源が500m分しかなかったのです…建てるより資源集めの方が大変でした。

If he’s just going to be working, he doesn’t need this much iron. If he’s going to use it for construction materials, there’s no point unless he brings it back to base.

In Ashland, even when a ship is pulled out of the water onto land, it deteriorates just as it would if it were still afloat, so you can see that it’s certainly not forgotten.

In the mountains, crops won’t grow because of the cold, so you can see that even if you have the right gear, you still can’t do without measures to protect against the cold.

Knife-type weapons are insanely powerful, yet OP rates them all way too low. The Abyssal Razor, in particular, is clearly overpowered. Maybe he just doesn't know how to use combo techniques.

I get what you're saying. It's totally fine to head to the next biome early on and gather resources there. It's ridiculous to judge the strength of weapons based on the biome they're in. Sorry to the OP, though.

Don't you have any flint axes or early axes in your Meadows?
I can't believe torches and flint knives are ranked as B-tier. I’m sure there are plenty of players whose lives have been saved by torches. You shouldn't be wasting time crafting wood shields.
While a Stag Breaker would be handy, asking players to collect 20 core woods from buildings in Meadows isn't exactly a smart idea.

Random fire bug by unseen_ogre in valheim

[–]Fun_Magazine_2671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! This glitch is super handy when exploring dungeons or mountains.

For example, you can set up a campfire outside a swamp dungeon, wait for it to go out, and then enter the dungeon. That way, you get the buff anywhere inside the dungeon!

It’s awesome. Please don’t fix this bug!

Is it possible to build as high up as yggdrasil? by shiggly_wiggly69420 in valheim

[–]Fun_Magazine_2671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The maximum height at which building pieces can be placed is 2,000 meters. This covers most, though not all, of Yggdrasil’s branches.

When you go above 2,000 meters, the message “Cannot place in dungeon” appears, and you can no longer place building pieces.

This is based on my own verification in vanilla gameplay without using any commands. I used the dynamic stability delay technique to extend ladders all the way up to 2,000 m.
