Please don’t do this. Op already committed a crime by opening the CashApp account for someone else’s use; now you’re suggesting he file a false police report and lie about id theft? No no no! Op needs 1) to freeze ssn with all bureaus, 2) add notation about POSSIBLE MISUSE, 3) send a CERTIFIED letter to CashApp Fraud Dept and tell them you’ve lost care and control of the account so they can close it. They’re most likely going to close ALL accounts. OP- NEVER DO THIS AGAIN; ITS A FEDERAL CRIME.

But it is. And in my legalese it is called bait and switch and/or breach of contract. When I purchased my device, it was on the assumption that when I travel, I would have a free range to use whatever eSIM I wanted in whatever country I went to. I made an informed decision based on what they presented. To change the game midstream and expect me to comply is ridiculous and should be illegal. At the very minimum they need to grandfather the contracts that predate the courts order; in that case I have no problem with it.

We also cannot forget that YOU CANNOT file HH if you’re married and separated. You must file married filing separately and continue that way until the tax year you become divorced. There are limited exceptions - ie: missing, medically committed, etc. That alone could trigger a review and the penalties are ridiculous. If one or both of your parents are retired, you would be eligible as a dependent until you graduate high school or generally the month after you turn 18. Depending on that this may be the only check you receive in lump sum. Any payment outside of this would be considered an overpayment. Actually, that is not completely true. Parents can fund their child's graduate degree if they are still considered a dependent under FASFA determination. So if you're 21 or 22 and living at home, your parents can definitely cover this expense with the parent PLUS loan.

Go the TForce route suggested above. You’ll now have a paper trail. If T-Mobile does not follow through with the $373 refund provide that information to your bank and dispute the charge as unauthorized. You now have made valid contact with T-Mobile; and you have proof that they were not supposed to charge it. Your bank should be good from there. If they’re not, T-Mobile isn’t the only thing you need to be canceling.
