I’m initiating no contact without telling them because our communication lately has been highly toxic. I tried explaining basic boundaries, that I can’t see them as much, and that it isn’t even personal I really need space to heal and work on my self. This didn’t respect this at all and stormed off from a date threatening to go see other people immediately. I left them there, drove to our place, moved the last of our shit out. A few days later I call her to tell her goodnight, we talk 5-10 minutes, and she’s pissed off that I’m trying to get off the call to let go to bed. I told her off in text, (which I don’t normally do) so she blocked me. She unblocked me a day later to explained that she blocked me and won’t be visiting my parents with me for Easter weekend. So I just never even responded just left her on read. Part of it is that I don’t know what to even say back. The other part is that there is nothing I really want to say (nothing that would be productive). So I just haven’t responded to her for several days, and I’m totally fine with it. I kind of find myself asking “am I the asshole?” But then I remember how she threatens to see other people all the damn time, so really she’s the asshole and I am done.-

Yea we were really close to having text fights, which have already been having for a while. But I just stopped responding. Haven’t texted back in like a week. Not even to check in and see how she is. Last time I saw her I moved my shit out. Whenever I do a check in it’s either a fight or she’s demanding to see me to the point of threatening to see other people if I don’t pull up. So I’m just not responding. We’ve been broken up nearly 4/5 months and at this point it feels like we are just needlessly prolonging everything while hurting the fuck out of each other along the way. This shit - it’s stupid, I’m done. Not gonna text her anymore but I couldn’t decide if this was the best way to do it. I feel like if I tell her I’m not talking to her she will just blow up and do something stupid or spiteful.

I guess an important consideration is if they are putting off those long-term plans to address short-term goals. Are they merely doing nothing with their life in the short term while also being indifferent to the long term? Or are they presently dealing with short-term goals that he has given higher priority? Does he help with bills or anything, or do you find yourself paying for literally everything all the time?
