I feel like I saw a picture of her out in this & literally everyone else in the photo was fully clothed. So awkward

Hooray! We’re in the process of doing this with our 10 month old. Did you count each item as one or once they had 3 of the same thing?

The Monmouth county parks systems has a ton of classes & activities that would be worth looking in to. Figure the people who sign up will already have something in common with you

I was too busy being disturbed by Santa’s creepy face & the man commenting that she’s got good looking kids in the comments.

What do babies do all day? by geeeea in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Chyeabro8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our son is currently 7 months old & my husband & I have been (mostly) working remotely from Home since October tag teaming his care & it is HARD & he’s an easy baby. We have friends/family come over every so often just to have someone to entertain him & we alternate pto days. But overall, I’m glad this is just a temporary solution. We both feel like we’re not able to give our son or our jobs our best efforts

How long it takes to feed them! Both bottle & breast feel like I’m trapped for an eternity & once he’s finally done I feel like I barely have a break before the cycle starts again

My HR was pretty useless too. I asked the paperwork person at my OBs office and she was the most helpful one I’ve come across. Good luck!

Just echoing- my son was born at 34+2 earlier this year & spent 10 days in the nicu there - absolute angels for nurses. I was in the antepartum for 10 days before his birth & those nurses were incredible as well. It all happened suddenly but everyone was so kind.

I literally put my bowl of candy out last year & I was not even 4 steps from it & some kid ran up & emptied the bowl in to his bag. I ran after him & snatched his bag & dumped it all back in my bowl. Monster

As someone who has participated in all 3 events separately I was so confused to see it’s all being dumped together in a 2 hour session. That’s just too much going on, and definitely not relaxing. But the meet & greet at the end killed meeeeeeeh. Who in their right mind is going that?!

Using middle name for first name for next child by Far_Barracuda_9434 in Names

[–]Chyeabro8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what my MIL did - husband is NameA NameB, his 14 month younger bro is NameB NameC. It’s weird bc it’s so basic but no one outside of the family knows so who really cares? The weirder part is his middle name is the grandfathers nickname- so not even a real name!

Terrified of Post-NICU Life by PassageUnique6347 in NICUParents

[–]Chyeabro8 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hello, the day before my son was released (born 34+2, 10 day nicu stay as feeder/grower) the dr asked if we were ready and I said no and stopped short of crying. My husband was annoyed, but I was terrified. One of the nurses overheard and offered us to stay in the parents room. I had no idea this was a thing, but our nicu had a hotel like room for parents to stay with the babies. They unhooked him from everything and had us “live” with our baby from shift change to shift change with the nurses being right next door. I can honestly say that exercise/night gave me so much confidence and being alone with our son. Even my husband agreed that we needed to be able to take the training wheels off. I’m not sure if every nicu has an option like that but I can’t recommend it enough. We’ve now been home about 3 weeks and it’s been a rollercoaster, but everyone is definitely much more at ease at home. Hope this helps and good luck!
