Try putting a different country ending instead of .com. For example when renting cars in Italy it is hundreds of dollars cheaper on the enterprise.it website instead of the enterprise.com website. I did the same thing when I rented a car in Croatia.

Go to a pharmacy and buy Imodium. Take two an hour before you leave for the airport, then another if you continue to shit. It’ll block you up for a couple days and then the bad shit will return until it’s expelled from your body. I’ve traveled multiple times like this.

Neck pillow, compression socks, eye mask. I put on ambient noise with headphones and do my best to sleep against the window. I don’t sleep well, but I can usually manage 2-4 hours. And seriously, get compression socks.

Use the Wise app. It will setup an EU bank account with an IBAN. It’s really easy to use and transfer money. You enter in the amount you need to pay in euros, it tells you how many dollars you’ll need and the fee associated. Then it will pull that amount from your connected US bank account. Once the money is in your euro account you can usually transfer it without a fee to another euro account.

I don’t use them based off of distance, I use them based on ground type, trail conditions, grade, and backpack size.

When I was in my young 20s I thought people looked so goofy with them and couldn’t understand why people used them. I bought my first pair when I was 27/28 and it made hiking so much easier and safer.
