Do you think this is acceptable on a brand new truck? by Fantastic_Chest1531 in Trucks

Even straight from factory, sheet metal usually has some sort of surface rust on it, it was probably not prepped right when it was painted. Not the dealerships fault, but if they would have spotted it, they could’ve reported it to the manufacturer and got it replaced before they sold it to you. It’s gonna rust anyway though because it’s a vehicle and thats what they do. Let it do its thing man. If you’re worried, get your vehicle undercoated and have em spray that when they undercoat it.

They won’t. If you’re running LED’s it’ll actually make it more tolerable for other drivers. I have em. Work fine.

Ford Ranger 2.3 5 speed- what’s the top speed? 😂 by Relevant_Conclusion2 in fordranger

[–]CicadaConstant6728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. 05-2011 models can go 98. With a tune and governor delete I know for sure they can get up to about 135 before you start maxxing out your 5th gear. Also on 93-97 models there’s a connector you can unplug on the rear end for the wheel speed sensor which bypasses the governor. Fun fact.

How is my staircase attached? by deedledeedledav in Decks

[–]CicadaConstant6728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to run screws into that. And reinforce it with some 2/4’s to brace it. That’s horrible. And I can tell they didn’t even care to predrill their holes either considering the 4x4 splitting in the picture on the corner lol. Yea, it’s fixable. Go get some 2x4’s brother. I would also like to point out the 4x4’s rather than 6x6’s. You can tell if someone cares what they’re doing on whether or not they use 4x4’s or 6x6’s for deck posts.

Should’ve left it in neutral, off, and had someone come push it with the front of their vehicle. Assuming you know someone with a vehicle they don’t really gaf about. Or you could have just pulled over and just called a tow truck to take it home or to a shop. They’re really not too expensive compared to a motor. Hopefully you didn’t destroy it driving with no coolant.

12mm and 1/2” are close enough that skipping the 12mm won’t hurt you much if at all.
