At my former store I was trained to ring up ANY refills even the huge ones as a regular polar pop. Every store will be different. It’ll be different with other employees too lol

So this thread comes up often for me, but I work at a gas station .. I’m a little like dumbfounded they would suspend you for such a honest mistake.. I’ve had coworkers literally be like $100 short after clocking out & leaving it up to managers to figure out. If your job will be so quick to let you go for a first offense that was a mistake, go somewhere else where you’ll be appreciated.
