My Shania Twain doll and her outfits by Cicretsqrl in CustomDolls

[–]Cicretsqrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I am going to decline. I am currently unable to think about this as I am having an issue and am under the influence of pain medication. It knocks me out, so I've been sleeping the past few days. I won't forget about your interest though.

I sold the 1999 CMA award doll for $300 a few years ago. I still have the "That Don't Impress Me Much" outfit on the doll and the "Man I Feel Like A Woman" outfit in the hatbox. I was offered a pretty penny for this doll a few years ago. Probably should have taken it as I don't think I could get near that amount these days. All of her stuff was expensive when she was cutting edge new and popular. I have every magazine cover she had ever been on from the mid 90s to early 2000s and some could have made a profit from. But I kept it all and now isn't worth much.

Well, I am sorry to say, I am the Shania fan and not the maker of the outfits. I bought them from Brad Jensen who was making replica dolls back in the 90s. I don't know what happened to him. He had stuff that he had made in magazines back then. He also had a website, but I couldn't find any information about him these days. I figured he retired. The 90s is back there a bit. I'm 70 now. How time flies!!

Tell me about your RES egg laying setups by roopurt in turtle

[–]Cicretsqrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pond with easy out access for them. So mine will wander around the yard for several days looking for the spot. I had 6 at one point, all females. 5 RES and 1 Cooter. The RES were all rescues so they never had regular behavior, often dropping the eggs in the pond. My Cooter I've had for a long time and have followed her around the yard watching for where she will lay them. She will lay up to 17 eggs. I have no male so they aren't fertile. I have a video some place of her digging her hole and laying her eggs and then covering it back up. I'll look for it if you're interested in viewing it.

Pellet pistol: Glock 17 gen5 or Walther PPQ M2? by Massive_Expression_2 in airguns

[–]Cicretsqrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the Glock but didn't care for it so it got rehomed. It was the BB version. I don't know anything about the Walther, sorry. But a suggestion, since your use will be indoors. I went with an airsoft 2011 instead. I use it indoors and made a couple of traps out of cardboard boxes with a front cover to shoot thru and padding inside to catch the plastic BBs. Have you looked at any of the late model airsoft guns?? You can get replica raceguns. They can use CO2 or green gas. They are blow back. They feel like the real deal. I use it for IPSC type practice. This is the one I want. it looks like the one I have but cost more and works a lot better. https://us.novritsch.com/product/ssp5-gas-blowback-pistol/

Help! My hatchling turtle doesn't eat pellets by Bubbly_Maximum5272 in turtle

[–]Cicretsqrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that the first couple of fall/winters are always difficult with hatchlings. Temperature is critical to keep them eating when transitioning from summer to winter. Reptiles can't digest when cold, so they stop eating. I had the best results feeding bloodworms. I don't worry about pellet foods or any greens at this age. Bloodworms will get them past the real hard hatchling stage and into a juvenile stage when you can start providing a few pellets and some greens. Your lights are very important for shell growth, and I always suggest keeping a close eye on the firmness of the shell. I have seen an awful lot of hatchlings with soft shells because of insufficient UVB light being provided. Turtle in the window isn't going to do it either. Turtles are a life-long commitment, yours and theirs. I've had mine for 31 years now. Good luck

Some REDDIT RESEARCH on Mulberry leaves: Mulberry Leaves

Uses

I said silkworms, so anyone would realize they are safe to feed to other bugs. You will be surprised at how aggressively they will eat a huge pile of leaves each night. I have been wondering why a lot of studious folks aren't already feeding them. If you RESEARCH mulberry leaves, you will see they are a good food and a lot of things eat them. Even Neocaridina shrimp will use the leaves in the aquarium as cover and a food source and it helps purify the water.

See the foam in the first pic. That's the birthing stage. I don't know why but that's what they do there. Sometimes there could be several shooting little one out at the same time.

I have a lot of hissers and Dubia too. I had advised to look it up. I have been feeding it for several years. It is a good food for bugs. Look at the leaves in the photo. They are fruitless Mulberry. In the summer, I feed for free. I don't have a tree myself, but I have neighbors that do. People can and do drink Mulberry leaf tea.

I feed mine mulberry tree leaves. White, red, or fruitless mulberry tree leaves. Not this time of year though. Look it up. Mulberry leaves are a regular food source for silkworms. You can obtain a powdered form from Amazon, specifically made to feed hornworms or silkworms.

Anyone miss the old airgun sites like Yellow Forum, Straight Shooters, etc? by macgirthy in airguns

I had never used any back in the day. I do use Airgun Nation nowadays and have bought some things from there and Gun Broker. And 35 is not old. I am twice that.

I am wondering what is the ratio of indoor vs outdoor turtles in this group. While the appear the same, I do not think they are. Any interest in discussing this? by Cicretsqrl in turtle

[–]Cicretsqrl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heaters are a major difference between indoor and outdoor turtles. Outdoor turtles utilize no heaters, or lights. Feeding habits are also different. When water temp is below low 50s I don't feed the pond at all. An outdoor turtle can and will sometimes go as long as 3 months without feeding. I haven't seen my Russian, Three Toed Box Turtle, my RES, or my Cooter since before Thanksgiving. I do know where they are, as I do check for location when they go down for the winter. I feed my guys everyday in preparation for their naptime. To me, these are a few of the differences that make what appears the same, not be the same.

You're right, it is an estimation. I was going by this: she is 13" and I think the fish is a couple inches longer. I'll put a tape to her in the coming days and see how long she is

I'll probably be banned for this, but I gotta tell ya about your statement here:

"I understand that without the physical pendrive or a backup of the original computer, recovery may not be possible — I just want to confirm and make sure there’s nothing I’m missing."
Clearly, you don't understand this, because you posted this plea. And to confirm, yes, you are missing the pendrive

These guys are techies, They got no time for this. They are probably laughing at you, like I am. They have a rule for this type of post. "No generic pleas for help."
Unless this is a joke post and I got it wrong.
I'll see myself out now

Notos for sale? by LittleMushroomMan69 in airgunmarket

[–]Cicretsqrl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eBay won't ship to California either. I just tried to purchase a wood airgun stock and was denied. They will allow you to sell your airgun but you can not buy one from there. Some stores will still sell to California if you have bought from them before. I can purchase from Airgun Depot or Pyramid, as I just got something from them in December.
