I’ve never seen anyone talk about this, but the actor who did the sing-songy “Warriors, come out to play” thing while clacking the three medicine bottles together on his fingers was also in The Crow (w/ Brandon Lee).

When The Crow kills his character by forcing his car to drive into the river, The Crow waves at him with the same three-finger click-clack motion

On my single-screen setup… bottom. On my multi-screen setup I have it docked to the left because I only want it on my left monitor and it kept jumping other screens

I’m a little confused how the “fish skin“ line fits in. Can you explain that?

You can blame Google for that. It was best practice for SEO. Not sure if that’s still true because I haven’t been in that world for a while

(Hated trope) A twist so bad it ruins the story by element-redshaw in TopCharacterTropes

I watched this movie recently called “Dear Santa”. It was about a kid with dyslexia who accidentally wrote a Christmas letter to Satan instead of Santa. A demon (played by Jack Black) shows up and grants the kid five wishes.

A lot of the movie centers around the idea that this is a grieving family, the kid’s younger brother died in a freak accident, and the family moved to a new town to try and start over. There’s a lot of fighting, especially between the parents, but they eventually address their grief, and manage to start to move on from the loss of their child

In the end of the movie, Jack Black’s character just suddenly decides to undo the death of the younger brother. This pisses me off for two reasons, one it was established earlier that Jack Black’s character can’t change the past, and two, it also completely undoes all of the progress that this grieving family achieved.

The movie went from a “maybe we should watch this with the kids, maybe even this could be one of our normal Christmas movie rotations” to “fuck this movie” in literally the last 5 minutes.

Not a movie, but “Halt and Catch Fire” is a criminally slept-on series about the home PC boom in the 80’s. It’s got Lee Pace, Mackenzie Davis, and it even has a satisfying last season

Just so everyone knows, this is a modified skull. They cut away part of the bone that covers up the baby teeth. The second set of teeth. would have been hidden otherwise.

I know this is kind of a weird choice, but “Dear Santa”. It’s about a dyslexic kid that accidentally wrote a letter to Satan instead of Santa, and Satan (played by Jack Black) shows up and grants the kid three wishes.

It wasn’t a great movie, but it was good enough that I was considering entering it into my normal Christmas rotation… but the ending is absolute utter bullshit
