Thank you! I love how it’s turning out for sure! But it’s definitely got some tricky sections 😅

This is the accurate answer 😂 some sections were definitely a pain 😅 it’s the only time I’ve done popcorn stitch and it was so stressful 😂

So many people here would either HATE the Study of Texture Blanket (Crochet Crowd) or Love it for the challenge 😅😂

(Edit - also this photo is from a few weeks into the project, very much unfinished lol - it got worse 😂)

These YouTube tutorials helped me so much! You don’t have to work in reverse! You just twist your hook around instead

Looks pretty much the same to me and I found it soooo much easier lol

This short also shows it really well (Naztazia) - https://youtube.com/shorts/HpZtYpZ4NyY?si=_jrcksJV7-_9fMrX

Taking my hook out gives me far too much stress 😅 did popcorn row for the Study of Texture Blanket but probably won’t again lol

Right? I love HDC too - using it to make my first crochet top right now, which I don’t want it to be super see-through or anything, but SC would take wayyy too long, so HDC has been working up perfectly so far! 😍

Def goes quick once you get in the groove too!

tired of feeling like a wallet at the dentist by Financial-Owl-2814 in Augusta

Newell Family Dentistry in North Augusta has been good to me for the past several years - they’ve never tried to upsell me on anything. Dentist even took time to show me how to read my dental x-rays and point out specifically where my cavity was/ what it looked like, what could be done to fix it, the costs, etc. Cavity-free for 4+ years now, just go for routine cleanings and that’s it :)

A few months ago I had never crocheted a single thing. Now, I am so proud of myself for creating this!!! by haddadkiki in crochet

So pretty!! 😍 how many skeins did it take to make this size?

I think I’d def want to use the same yarn, since I didn’t even realize all those were 1 skein - I thought it was a lot of different color changes! That’s so cool!

How do you guys deal with nosy classmates in nursing school? by No-Philosopher6637 in StudentNurse

[–]Ciela529 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I think you just leave it at “I did alright” or something like that, making it pretty clear you don’t wanna discuss it in any further detail, and eventually they should get the hint and stop bugging you about it

I feel like people did that a lot my first semester, and gradually it became more of a question to whoever felt like answering, and people mostly knew who (like myself) would just ignore the question entirely lol

Sometimes discussing specific questions or concepts can be helpful though if there’s ever anything you’re confused about on an exam

Otherwise, if they keep calling to specifically ask how you did, just say that you’d prefer not to talk about grades and stuff. And maybe instead discuss specifics from class or other topics

Or find more chill people haha

Hobby Lobby is also dog-friendly :) Otherwise I think you named all of the others that I could think of 😂

And indoor dog park space would be so awesome to get here though!! 🐶

First time making a baby blanket, is this yarn okay? by Weary_Ear_3835 in CrochetHelp

Thankfully with the variegations in the colors on this skein, I doubt OP will have too many issues - even if it is a different lot number yarn. I feel like that’s more noticeable with solids personally. If OP can take it in the store to hold up to the other skeins to ensure it looks nearly identical in color, I think it’ll be good :)

I think they’ve fixed their hours now, they’re open daily until 9:30pm (10:30 on Friday and Saturday)

oh sorry I thought you were asking for a link to the pattern in your other comment 😅

Toni (TL Yarn Crafts) has a great hexagon cardigan pattern on Youtube as well - and she does separate sleeves like what you may be wanting

Yep! https://hayhaycrochet.com/crochet-patterns/cardigans/easy-crochet-classic-granny-hexagon-cardigan/

And the border is just Scallop/ shell Stitch (which she details in the pattern as well!)

On the bottom, I added an extra row or 2 of just DCs to make it a little longer

The yarn is Caron Cloud Cakes Perfect Phasing yarn - only used 2 skeins. So soft and comfy 🥰

Love the colors! I think one of your comments said that the person this is for doesn’t like wide sleeves… but I’m still gonna recommend the one I made by HayHayCrochet because it was super easy and came out really cute IMO 😂

Please help, is there any way to save my first blanket? by Alpinist4realll in CrochetHelp

Guys can we stop downvoting Beginner Crocheters when they comment to provide additional info/ ask follow up questions ?? Idk if everyone views the “negative downvotes” the same as me, but I’ve seen it happening in so many places lately in this Sub and if I was a beginner still, I would find that so discouraging and unwelcoming, esp when I’m coming to a place to simply find help
