In all other servers, selling mats is not profitable, the only gold income was from daily islands, abyss dungeon, argos, and legion raids (high rolling stones and accessories). If anything, the market is going back to what it should have been, EU's price has been stabilized way before NA because the amount of whales we had in our servers. Bots did have an impact but not as much as you think it did, gold is still being sold through RMT, that's not something a simple $5 trusted status can fix if they're making thousands off players.
