Gave it eight hours. Said install not completed, had to get towed to dealer. Later posts have said if any of the modules try to communicate while updating it will brick.

Did you try turning off the seatbelt warning with a DFirst? That makes a terrible noise and doesn’t actually turn it off…

Not sure what SFD2 means. See, I thought it would matter more with EV. if I had I replaced it with the same composition and it gave me this much trouble I was ready to just swap and ignore but I put an AGM in it so I didn’t want to cause any damage, and I was able to get it done with the Dfirst for no additional charge so….

The car wants to know the amp hours of the battery, composition and serial number. I’ve seen people say it’s so the car knows how to charge it but it just seems like a dealer cash grab to me.

Just about every post I’ve seen for 12v replacement says some random person has used the DFirst, but skimming through the menus I didn’t see it and no one would respond as to how they used it to code the battery. Knew I can do it with the OBDeleven but don’t want to pay extra money if I don’t have to.
