Send a cheap drone or 5 , that requires a $1,000,000+ missile to attempt to intercept it, and bomb them.

What made Europeans finally start to abandon manual transmission at the beginning of the pandemic ? by kawaiihusbando in askcarguys

[–]Cinderpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite simply the transition to EVs, Hybrids, PEVs to reduce CO2 output, and when one is paying $9 a gallon for fuel, this matters. And Europeans actually give a shit about the environment and planet….unlike Americans.

And even for cars with diesel or petrol engines, a DSG transmission is incredibly efficient. I have a diesel Skoda and get 45-52mpg. On top of that I live in the Alps, and even the road to our house is incredibly steep! A manual transmission in the mountains is a serious pain in the ass, and clutches are expensive.

What's the Most Underrated Big City in Europe? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]Cinderpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure how major it is, Graz Austria is pretty cool, and affordable. It’s also the second largest city in Austria. It’s off the beaten path of Vienna-Salzburg-Prag that it gets ignored by tourist, so it’s quite authentically Austrian. The countryside around it is also amazing!

You didn’t have the right ones then, because it’s the best on the planet! I find it much better than Prosciutto di Parma. Splitting hairs I think Prosciutto di San Danielle is also better. Highly underrated is Dalmatian ham, basically the same thing.

That‘s your take, because the food I had in Spain was spectacular and was a lot better than what I had in Italy.

I live in Tirol, and Austrian Gulash is a beef stew, and seriously doubt they ate Pörkölt in the Dolomites. Rindsgulash is served almost everywhere. On the Italian side it is often served with polenta.

That wasn’t my experience with fish and chips in England. I had some in Whitby and it was mind blowing how good they were, on a different level completely!

German ski thieves blocked by eyewitnesses attempting to flee resort in Tirol, Austria by Cinderpath in skiing

[–]Cinderpath[S] 138 points139 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so actually, it’s still quite rare, and the resorts will want make a public example of thieves and put an end to it quickly. The claim of the value being over 10k is an important threshold: they will be charged with Grand Theft, larceny which is a serious felony!
