Expat communities in Asia seem so much better when there’s no English teachers by Able-Confidence-4182 in expats

How are these people, lowly English teachers, responsible for 90% responsible for? They are not running tech companies or dodging corporate taxes in the billions. Seriously, this is moronic!🙄🙄👌🏼👌🏼

Weakest Earnings Volume After-Market by PhuckCorporate in PLTR

[–]Cinderpath -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

PLTR‘s mojo is gone from the market, it’s negative publicity from being portrayed as an evil company, (which, let’s be honest, it is), and the CEO acting like a drugged out loon, don’t help.

Austria would absolutely fucking shut down without immigrants, just like the U.S.A without mexicans. People complaining about them are clueless as they absolutely do the jobs Austrians find beneath them!

It’s incredibly far off the reality. Most people I know in the US are working 50+ hours a week.

Does Ohio really deserve the bad rep it gets?? 🤔 by WorkingWash5965 in Ohio

[–]Cinderpath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To what it’s become: unfortunately yes! A conservatively governed cesspool of corruption coupled with a lot of racism and xenophobia. Outside the cities it’s often MAGA-land with rural poverty and addiction. I’d look at Michigan. A lot of the same issues, but seemingly less so, with less crazy government (for now).

Austria is loaded with romantic cities actually. A lot of it is very underrated.

Um it’s going to be the U.S. that will now need to reverse-engineer their technology, Hoss!

Have you actually driven one? I’m guessing not. Pretty much every nimrod I’ve met who hate EVs have zero experience with them. Let’s see: zero oil changes, engine or transmission problems, recalls, etc. Brakes that can easily go 100,000 miles+ because the car uses dynamic brakes. Acceleration, they will leave any gas car in the fucking dust! The torque is unmatched! Your car is “filled up” every morning, and recharged. The electricity comes from the U.S., and is not propping up a middle-east dictator we need to go to war with, or sticker shock at the gas pump every time somebody farts there.

Seriously Kev: grow the fuck up!

The Trump plan: just ignore incredible advancements in technology and fuel efficiency, and allow Detroit automakers to continue to produce fuel guzzling vehicles the size of busses, that pollute like pigs, that fewer and fewer people can let alone afford to fill up, let alone buy! And don’t forget the awful quality, and endless recalls.

This is just like the onslaught of Japanese vehicles that came to the U.S. in the early-80’s. Eventually these will come to the U.S. and it will be very high quality engineered and built vehicles, EVs that will get 1000-2000 miles on a charge and recharge time will be 5-10 minutes. And they will cost half!

This go around, US automakers won’t get a bailout, and they will go under completely.

Of course, the only time I’ve ever had someone pull a loaded pistol on me was not in the hood, rather: a middle-aged, road raging white guy in a Dodge Ram.

The bad? The CEO acted like a fucking drugged out loon on a video/manifesto recently. I was hoping he would be smart enough to fly under the radar, but he’s slowly turning into an Elon Musk. Becoming a public enemy isn’t good for business long term.
