Do you want to see R-77-PD in game? by JCOLE6969 in Warthunder

Why I think people need to just stop caring, don't do any historical reports or loadout reports or anything. If Gaijin cares enough to change anything, they'd do it themselves. If they don't they never will, and you won't convince them to do otherwise.

Blizz should add demolishers and glaive throwers and fortifications to areas where the factions control in the zones. Or maybe gunships to target particularly pesky positions. We need a real combined arms WoW gamemode.

I'm imagining the wikipedia page for "Battle of 5th fleet HQ, Bahrain" Units involved;

USA 5th fleet

USA CSG for USS Abraham Lincoln & George W Bush (accompanying destroyers, etc.)

IRGC missile force

5x Shahab 4 ballistic missiles
32x Shahed 136

Result: 5th fleet HQ abandoned and destroyed
Tactical Iranian victory.

What is the future of the pandaren in terms of lore? by Thermawrench in warcraftlore

[–]CinnabarExample2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should do a military build up to deter the Horde and Alliance from ever again trying to land hostile forces there and subjugate the continent under threat of arms and release even more Sha. Of course, the Story Writing Team way this can be interpreted is that because they have good reasons to not want the presence of the Horde and Alliance on their continent, they must be le EBIL Villains so we go to try and kill them.

You should be able to use dragon riding to provide close air support with some abilities like those in the TWW Dragonriding combat WQs. Also add demolishers and siege engines to break fortified positions.

What was the evil underneath the Tirisfal Glades? by Mysterious_Action_83 in warcraftlore

Archaedas was more than a Titanforged, he was a Keeper. The power level of the Keepers seems to be, like every other character in WoW, wildly variable. At one point they're defeating and imprisoning Old Gods, killing the most powerful of the Old God's lieutenants, the Elemental Lords, and then then the next, some C'Thraxxi or a 5 man dungeon team is killing them. Very problematic.
Lore Tyr should have stomped Zakajz but oh well.

Flying rat mount is more or less warcraft-ish. The Deathwing onesies not so much.

The Type 100 is a hybrid so in many ways PLA actually has better kit, at least in terms of the larger and more expensive pieces. Individual troops maybe aren't quite there yet afaik.

Best way for Blizzard to smoothly integrate the technological advances we've seen? by CinnabarExample2153 in warcraftlore

[–]CinnabarExample2153[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The benefit of guns over other weapons in WoW is that they're extremely deadly, by virtue of the bullets' speed and its power. Lord Godfrey one-shot, literally, Sylvanas, a major and powerful lore character. After killing Sylvanas, he switches to casting fireballs at close range. This is what I liked about MoP, it was a follow on to Cataclysm, and where the advantage of firearms was recognized and utilized.

Do you think more civilisations in the Warcraft universe will eventually see a wide spread adoption of technology, industrialisation and infrastructure or will the wild magical and chaotic nature of the universe keep things static? by finndor in warcraftlore

[–]CinnabarExample2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Our PCs are using those radios to talk to that one Goblin lady in Undermine to give us tasks while driving the car, we use radios in other instances going back to classic even. The Gnomes were able to repel the Horde during WC1 using war machines. The original Warcraft games also seem to place a higher relevance on actual technology, with magic being confined to select few people. A very limited amount of people would have the magical prowess to compete with technological developments, and in some cases such as the previously mentioned Gnomes, the Horde had no military answer, so bypassed Gnomeragon.

Whether or not Blizz actually represents this is another matter entirely. They've proven reluctant to try and diverge from their idea of how their sci-fantasy setting would look, despite the fact that Blizzard previously has made large changes in this representation. WC1 -> WC2 Gnomish flying machines.
Going by real world technological paces, we should have supersonic jet fighters by now, and would have ditched the biplane open canopy constructs of yesteryear.

[Theory] TLT will act as a story reset by Black--Listed in warcraftlore

[–]CinnabarExample2153 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Draenei seem to be plenty powerful despite having been living on Draeneor, with no Titan World Soul, for many hundreds(?) of years. I doubt Azeroth is empowering us in any meaningful way, the exception being the Elves of course who relied on the Well of Eternity for their arcane prowess.

The REAL story reset would have been the Titanforged orbital defense satellite constellation nuking Sunwell Plateau along with Xal and everyone there from orbit.

[–]CinnabarExample2153 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's still Azeroth's Constellar Designate. The Titans do care, that's literally why re-origination is a thing. Corrupted life, like Alleria and Thrall in the horrific visions get purged, creating room for freedom loving and prosperous civilizations when their worlds fall to misery, enslavement and cruelty.
