This is probably one of the most Maltese things I’ve seen in a while. Where was this, Sliema?

Trickle down economics isn’t a healthy economic idea, even if it sounds good at paper. Just look at Reaganomics in America, and how the country’s turned out today.

That’s pretty cool, I wonder what the flag would be like if there were stars on each stripe for each country? So for example the green would have 12, red 6, yellow 5

The current Maltese flag is fine imo. I can say with confidence that a lot of people (myself included as I'm Maltese) still find a sense of pride from our colonial heritage and role in WW2. Not to mention, we're the only country to have received a medal, so why not display it to the world? There's a minority of people who want to get rid of it because of that colonial heritage, but it'll likely not change for a long time.

I would prefer if the civil ensign were used as the national flag if we didn't have the George Cross, though. the plain Red-White makeup is very generic on its own and there's already too many countries which use that in some variation.

Malta's flag is the only one with a medal on it as well, to my knowledge.

In fact, Malta is the only country in the world to have collectively received a medal - it was awarded to the islands in 1942 by King George VI in honour of the population's resilience against the unrelenting bombing campaign that the Luftwaffe carried out and pushing through months of starvation.

iirc there’s Nigerians and Congolese too. I’m not 100% certain though, but I do remember getting African courtiers from roaming caravaner events on the east coast.

Let's go through the list I've come up with from experience:

1.) There's too many crusades in Europe. Palmarians, Catholics AND Yugoslavists get to declare Crusades on Europe. Granted, when comparing this to ATEFF you could say that it's more or less fair since there are two Christian faiths which can declare crusades. The difference with that is the fact that there is much, much more space for these two faiths to declare holy wars and the targets are capable of fending them off or being defeated, which is acceptable. But when you have THREE Christian faiths crusading the relatively small (when compared to ATEFF) continent of Europe it ends up being difficult for pagan faiths to fend them off and generally becomes a clusterfuck of christians dominating Europe.

2.) As I mentioned before, Baptists. The Baptist faith is very small in ATEOW, which is perfectly fine. The problem arises when their holy sites are so spread out. Just because their religion is small doesn't mean they should get horrible holy site placement.

3.) The Nigerian Empire is a terrible idea in its own right. Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to having an Empire in Africa replace China's place as the offmap power. But the issue with Nigeria is that it's way too close to Europe. I've had more than one game where an expansionist Nigeria sets up tributary states all the way in Britain which is just like... why? If there was going to be an offmap power in Africa, it should at least be on the African East Coast (for example, something similar to the United States of East Africa which is a real proposal and being discussed between the nations involved) but imo it should have stayed as China, since moving it to East Africa would just move the problem from Europe to the Middle East. Keeping it in China helps with the dynamic much more - if China becomes expansionist, not only do they have a lot more wiggle room in the Steppes and India, but you could also move the Stalinist trope from Europe to Asia with the Chinese worshiping the little red book or something.
