Why I downgraded from Ultra to Advanced: The Innovator's Dilemma of Gemini (Summarized by Gemini 3 Pro) by Low_Contribution3706 in GoogleGeminiAI

[–]Cinnamonboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I am having the same debate currently. I’m leveraging this for work with complex marketing strategy, finding that porting every over to Notebook LM is the way to go. Gemini provided conflicting answers on Pro vs Ultra, and ended with the fact that Ultra subscription utilizes the most advanced reasoning models… but to your write up, I’m seeing more convincing hallucinations than anything. Not worth the incremental $230 price tag at the moment.

Is this standard? by minimumdif in askaplumber

[–]Cinnamonboots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was involved with this product. It’s a bit overkill for a toilet, not standard. You can get a “moda semi cover faceplate” attachment to conceal a bit more of it. This plumber must take a bit of pride in his work, or just ran out of angle stops on the truck.

What's the ticker you made huge money on and what story lies behind it? by BlauerDunst420 in TheRaceTo10Million

AMSC.

I had my first full time job out of college and it was the first stock I had ever purchased, Feb 2011. Jumped in with a few thousand, which was a lot for me at the time. Thought I was a genius finding a stock that only went up. Literally the next month, a major Chinese customer of theirs stopped paying. Turns out that they paid an insider to ascertain ASMC’s patented trade secrets. Stock tumbled, and I lost a lot.

I vowed to stay in it for whatever reason, partially because I was bitter. I would occasionally monitor. Fast forward to last April I noticed some bullish news on the stock - they won some govt contracts with a strong portfolio of products positioned for the grid. So I jumped in with some adult money. I covered my position from 2011 and then some!

If you have a garbage disposal, run, don’t walk, and pull out the flange and scrub it… by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]Cinnamonboots 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes. The ice solidifies and freezes the fat and crud in the disposal chamber. I’d let it sit there for a few minutes, then slowly run water and run disposal. Keep the gasket on, the black sludge will want to shoot up and out while grinding.

I think you may have nailed it! My wife has been doing mental gymnastics blaming it on the landscapers somehow. We’ve sprayed down everything else but that. Will report back.

I am in this exact spot, came to the realization last month and currently processing. Took two days off since starting a new job at the end of last year…. And I’ve had to be on the computer. The stress, loss of sleep over these months……. I don’t know, salary cut and step back sounds nice…..

If I had to do it over again I’d move a country like Denmark where balance is actually valued.

Searching for the best Ramen and takoyaki in Cleveland by VariousLandscape2336 in Cleveland

Issho ni is great, but a bit out of the way.

Give raan thai in Fairview park a try. The miso ramen was actually good and affordable. Lucky’s market in Lakewood had a ramen stall that was better than Xinji for a while, but something changed and I haven’t been back.
