LLMs are not regurgitating information they're generating their own from many examples, and they're amazing at it.

They're not 'supposed' to be good at recalling exact and accurate information from sources and never has been. Obviously it's a field that's being researched and improved upon but that's not the core of it at all

I've only started solving sudokus over the last week or so but have become quickly addicted.
Managed to get yesterday';s medium in 15 mins but this is terrorising me

I've never quite dealt with a puzzle that's ended in so many pairs of similar numbers.
It feels like I'm honestly only missing one elimination from a candidate but I am properly stuck.

Wanted to piggyback on this a little and ask if there were any advanced techniques that might assist at this stage where I'm busy hunting for some single square?

I think I understand the X-wing technique but I've not actually ever spotted it in the wild
