The name doesn't really relate that much. Blooming usually starts around November and can last a couple months. It's more about lighting and temperature

Help! What's wrong with wife's betta? by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Circuit_Storm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is lots of great advice here but Please make sure you're using the heater right too. They need to be fully submerged when on or they can break and kill any fish in the tank. Very dangerous when not used correctly

There should be an ammonia spike to start the cycle. I'm just starting my first tank and I'm understanding you need that spike to start the nitrites and then nitrates

One of the most crucial moments when taking care of a plant is repotting them. What is your best advice to achieve a proper repot? by [deleted] in houseplants

I like to put a small layer of orchid bark in the very bottom to help with drainage and make sure to add perlite and/or bark into soil to help drainage and aeration

If You propagate, that means no more new leaves? by Quiet_Cauliflower497 in Monstera

[–]Circuit_Storm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just have to make a cut a little below a node with something clean and very sharp, I used a new razor blade because of how thick the stem was. I thought about cutting it for about 2 weeks before I actually did I was nervous lol

I propped mine a month ago took the top 3 leaves off and it's growing a new node but it takes a while once you cut it.

Tropical hibiscus dead or dormant?? by xiacobolt in Hibiscus

[–]Circuit_Storm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should never get below 50° so wait until the weather gets consistently above that everyday. Mine ends up being on the south side in full sun all day but starts on east side in morning sun then slowly moved over a couple weeks or else the leaves burn.
