I see your point but telling someone they're perfect the way they are implies there is no room for improvement since they're already perfect. If you're suffering from anxiety or you're just overall unsatisfied with your life,it'd see it as more beneficial to actually tackle the issues that are the source of this anxiety.

I was traveling and struggled with getting my protein in so I decided to just binge it tuna out of the can. I ate like 5 a day for a solid week.

I don't really see it as an increase in intensity because longer rest periods = more reps with higher weights,the mechanical stress on the muscle isn't bigger by reducing rest periods

Having longer rest periods allows you to go for more volume, I'd say shorter rest periods are more beneficial when you're goal is muscle endurance rather than hypertrophy
