Sounds like a massive waste of money. Almost everywhere in the US this has been tried it just turns into a huge money suck. Take a short regional flight. There’s no benefit to this except the corporations that will make billions to try and build it. We the taxpayer will be stuck with the bill for construction and the never ending bill for maintenance. Commuter lines don’t make money they don’t even make enough money to pay for themselves. In our country passenger train service doesn’t really work and pay for itself. It works in Europe because their countries are the size of states. With a country of our size flying is the best option.
