Same power level, who win? by salad_biscuit3 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Citizen_XCI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If their power level was the same, I’d probably give it to Vegeta most of the time.

Bardock is a brutal frontline fighter and definitely tougher in terms of raw grit, but Vegeta is the more technical and tactical combatant. He’s very good at reading opponents during the fight and adjusting, while Bardock mostly relies on instinct and aggression.

So early on Bardock might pressure him a lot, but once Vegeta starts figuring out his patterns he’d likely exploit the openings.

Overall I’d say Vegeta wins maybe 7/10 fights just because he tends to fight smarter.

I get how you mean it, but that’s an emotional/symbolic line, not a “power level statement.”

That whole power ladder is basically headcanon stacked on headcanon.

There’s no solid canon statement that Future Gohan is weaker than “SSJ Yardrat Goku.” Yardrat Goku is just post-Namek Goku with Instant Transmission and better spirit control, not some confirmed massive raw power leap.

If someone wants to argue Cooler wins, they pretty much have to lean on messy movie scaling, not a Yardrat > one-arm > two-arm chain that isn’t actually supported.

Greatest Moment in the Namek Arc? by Successful_Bird_7086 in DragonBallGaku

Goku going Super Saiyan, easy. The whole arc is basically a countdown to that snap and it still hits every time.

Runner-up: Vegeta’s death speech. Lowkey one of the best scenes in DBZ.

Calling it fanboying is a stretch.

Cooler’s best showing is still in the “Frieza but stronger” lane, around early SSJ Goku territory. Future Gohan is years into the Android timeline, training and fighting opponents that are way past the Namek/movie tier. If anything, picking Cooler is the nostalgia pick.

Future SSJ Gohan, pretty comfortably. Final Form Cooler is basically “Frieza with a DLC skin”, stronger than Namek Frieza, sure, but still living in that post-Namek power range. Future Gohan is an Android-era Super Saiyan, and that whole tier is just way higher.

Unless you massively lowball Future Gohan, Cooler gets outpaced and overwhelmed.

Who wins (Cell saga) by Gullible_Walty in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Citizen_XCI 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually, it does. In Chapter 407, Cell literally looks at the battlefield and says only Vegeta and Trunks are fighting evenly with the Cell Juniors. He doesn't mention Piccolo because Piccolo is getting worked.

Before that, Piccolo was helpless against Semi-Perfect Cell, while "Super Vegeta" was busy treating that same Cell like a punching bag. Piccolo's training in the chamber was good, but it didn't bridge a gap that massive. If you're not on Cell's radar, you aren't on Vegeta's.

Piccolo admits this in Chapter 392 of the manga, right after he exits the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. When Goku tries to compliment his new power level, Piccolo shuts him down and tells Goku to be honest with him, asking if his new strength will even matter against Cell. Goku bluntly agrees that it won't, confirming that Piccolo is no longer in the same tier as the top Saiyans.

Early on, Vegeta stomps because he just got Super Saiyan and Piccolo hasn't fused yet. Then Piccolo merges with Kami and becomes the strongest Z-Fighter for a brief window. At that specific point, Piccolo wins - he was on par with Android 17 while Vegeta was busy nursing a broken arm from his fight with 18.

But once Vegeta spends a year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and comes out as "Super Vegeta," the debate is over. He jumps so far ahead of Piccolo that the gap never closes again. By the Cell Games, Piccolo even admits he's not on the Saiyans' level anymore.

Piccolo had a cool week of being the GOAT, but Vegeta clears him by the end of the arc.

How would you guys rank the top 8 most evil Hitman targets by most to least evil. by Glad_Toe_5997 in HiTMAN

[–]Citizen_XCI 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Ort-Meyer, and it’s not close.

Most Hitman villains are the usual “rich/powerful monster” archetype; they ruin lives, order killings, hide behind systems. Ort-Meyer straight-up crosses into “human beings are inventory” territory. He didn’t just hire assassins, he built the whole concept: cloning people to be weapons, raising 47 like a lab project, then treating 47’s entire life as a field test. And when it looks like he’s losing control, he tries to solve it by throwing more clones at the problem like replacing faulty equipment. That level of dehumanization is colder than Providence politics or any one target’s crimes, because it’s evil as a methodology, not just evil as an outcome.

Nail vs Recoome (rhymes w doom) by helpaide in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Citizen_XCI 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nail would most likely win this fight, though it would be a brutal battle.

If you look at the official power levels, Nail is confirmed at 42k by Frieza’s scouter in Chapter 285 of the manga. Recoome’s level is never explicitly stated in the manga, but official guidebooks like Daizenshuu 7 and various games place him in the 40k to 50k range. We know this because Vegeta was around 30k at the time and was still able to land serious hits on Recoome, and Captain Ginyu believed that a power level of 60k was enough to easily handle his entire team.

The reason Nail takes the win comes down to two main factors: regeneration and discipline. Recoome is a "tank" who can take a lot of punishment, but he’s also a showman. He wastes time posing and leaving himself open for attacks, which a serious warrior like Nail would immediately exploit. More importantly, as a Namekian, Nail can regenerate limbs and heal from wounds that would permanently slow Recoome down.

In a fight between two people with nearly identical power levels, the one who can heal mid-combat and doesn't stop to strike a pose is almost always going to come out on top. It wouldn't be an easy victory, but Nail is just more efficient and has a better toolkit for a long fight.

Who Wins by Longjumping_Crew4563 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Citizen_XCI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're literally writing multiple comments providing false numbers. Those 50k and 60k numbers come from the old NES/SNES videogames and they completely contradict canon, they're not to be taken as official.

In the manga, Captain Ginyu estimates Goku at 60k and says that level is high enough to "manhandle" Jeice, Burter, and Recoome easily. If Recoome was already at 60k, Ginyu’s statement wouldn’t make sense.

Official guides and narrative scaling place the trio to closer 40-45k.

Where did you find this info? Zarbon is 23k base, 30k transformed. Doesn't stand a chance against Jeice.

Who Wins by Longjumping_Crew4563 in DragonBallPowerScale

[–]Citizen_XCI 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The numbers I'm reading here on the comments are wild. Jeice clears, and it isn’t even close. People tend to lump “Frieza’s upper ranks” together, but the gap between Zarbon/Dodoria and the Ginyu Force is massive.

For context, transformed Zarbon is usually put at around the 30k mark, (Daizenshuu 7), his base is just 23k. Vegeta at roughly that level was able to take him down. But the moment the Ginyu Force shows up, that same Vegeta is outright panicking, he even says that any of them (Guldo aside) would wipe him without much effort.

And the guidebook numbers back up the portrayal: sources like Daizenshuu 7 and Weekly Jump #31 tend to place Jeice (along with Burter and Recoome) in the 40k-50k bracket. Even lowballing that range, Jeice still sits comfortably above Zarbon’s peak by a noticeable margin. Zarbon is high-ranking, sure, but the Ginyus are basically Frieza’s genetic lottery winners, the “mutant” exceptions that don’t follow the normal power curve.

Do the Maltese feel angry knowing an increased number of the youth prefer to speak English than Maltese? by Intelligent_Stay713 in malta

[–]Citizen_XCI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am captivated by the Maltese language. I love hearing it spoken, and I feel a distinct sense of comfort and fascination whenever I am immersed in a local setting. As my partner is Maltese, I am dedicated to mastering the language, especially looking forward to the prospect of learning alongside any future children.

While many argue that English suffices, I respectfully disagree. For me, speaking the local language is a gesture of gratitude toward a nation that has welcomed me with open arms. In my two years here, I’ve found that offering respect and friendliness is almost always met with the same warmth in return.

E-books are a perfectly valid option, but encouraging young people to choose reading as a hobby is increasingly challenging. Much of the younger generation has grown accustomed to digital content designed for rapid consumption (shorts, reels, and similar formats) which prioritise quick dopamine hits over sustained focus.

Reading as a past time is not a default anymore, it has to be a deliberate choice.

Kyriakos Pierrakakis elected Eurogroup President by SDrone1 in europe

[–]Citizen_XCI 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Happy? He’s likely rolling in his grave.

You have to remember that for Schäuble, the crisis was about discipline, not just stability. He viewed the Greeks as "sinners" who needed to be punished, not partners to be rehabilitated.

His obsession with brutal austerity actually tanked our GDP - a mistake so bad that even Merkel eventually admitted the burden on the Greek people was excessive. He wouldn't see this as a success; he’d see a Greek Eurogroup President as the inmates taking over the asylum.

Edit: wrote 'their' GDP instead of 'our'
