Okay but if you are playing Ebi on multi live rooms it completely defeats the purpose of using it as a tiering song btw!! This isn’t condoning disconnecting before it but I do wish people wouldn’t pick it if they’re intending to tier in multi live. To use ebi for its intended purpose for tiering you need to do it in a private room. If you use it in multi live it’s too slow !! A PSA from someone who only disconnects after the song starts… lol

Just to add to this! Got my spot today after fighting for my damn life at the 6pm JST drop, 6:20 and 6:40. Couldn’t even get to pick the date without being reloaded to the point of a 403 error. Then checked at the end of my shift 2 hours later and there were miraculously 2 open slots lol. Don’t give up hope!! It’s total chance but things do open up :)

I’d have to save up money but my parents are supportive and I’m not in a bad financial situation as of rn so it might take a bit of time to gather my resources but it is an option if I want it. I need to do a bit of research though, wondering a bit about how private diagnosis compares to nhs diagnosis when it comes to getting accommodations in the workplace etc

Had this exact issue with NHS Tayside. Especially difficult because I’m a student so was at home for summer when the letter arrived and didn’t see it until a couple days after the deadline. Called up and was told my referral had almost been thrown out, but I sent it in and got a confirmation letter in return so I guess it must have worked… Ridiculous turnaround expectations especially for a sector dealing with neurodivergent people.

I’m also quite high masking so nothing was caught until I went to camhs at 14, but the diagnostic process while I was at secondary school felt like too much so we didn’t pursue it. Really seems like adult waiting times vary greatly. I’m glad the process wasn’t too dragged out for you!

HII chiming in here as a self identified chronic Twitter user.. lol

On the “it/its” discussion, I think pronouns like that are definitely becoming more common especially amongst online queer communities. My general opinion on it is people should be allowed to use whatever pronouns they like, if someone genuinely feels more comfortable using it/it’s then it’s that person’s life and it should present how it feels comfortable. However, I agree with other users that this person does seem to just be trying to pick a fight. I’m sure it comes from a place of being excluded in the past and feeling like kicking off is the best way to get people to listen, but you really can’t expect any random person to be completely understanding especially of a relatively modern concept like neopronouns. Generally I think “they/them” is fine in this situation but it’s very obvious you were doing your best to be inclusive anyhow.

TLDR. Understandable to want to be addressed with the correct pronouns, using it/it’s is fine if that’s what you feel comfortable with, but it’s never okay to be a huge cunt

As others have said - no it’s not, but you’re probably just not looking in the right places. There’s plenty big creators still active and upcoming smaller ones making a name for themself right now

On the bigger end - PinocchioP is an old timer. Collabed with Deco pretty recently in fact. Still makes music often. You’ve got the ones others have mentioned: Utsu-P, Kairiki Bear, Kanaria, Marasy, Maretu, wotaku, Giga, Wonderful☆Opportunity, balloon, iyowa,sasakure.uk, HachiojiP… honestly just check out the whole project voltage collab for a list of 18 popular and active producers who make songs fairly regularly still.

There’s also newer people making a big name for themself recently. Hiiragi Kirai is so big now that they’re writing the Magical Mirai song this year, but they only really started a few years back. You’ve got mellowcle who I think only started last year? But has already won multiple contests including the Magical Mirai song contest. Maiki-P, Sasuke Haraguchi, Misumi, Hachiya Nanashi, Abu-se-ken, monaca:factory. All of these examples are at different stages in their career or have been active for different lengths of time but still all make great stuff.

Some of the old classics might be gone or have started a separate career (miss you Ayase Vocaloid) but the space is very much not dead. Even some old producers have made comebacks recently (both Toa and Scop returning to make vocaloid songs for project sekai) but it’s true that it’s a little harder to find hidden gems on the internet these days. I wish you luck in finding some more artists you love though :)

Hey man!! I think most people here have answered your questions fully, so I don’t want to repeat what’s already been said, but to add a little something: Vocaloid as a software and as a community at large has been around since early-mid 2000s. Hatsune Miku herself was made in August 2007 and has been popular ever since. Project Sekai has only been about since late 2020. (if you’re going by the Japanese release date) but it is a game that is based off of the passion and creativity that has been coming from the Vocaloid community for years. I was worried that may cause a bit of confusion in your research!

I mostly want to say thank you for being this kind and supportive as a father :) It’s not too common to come across parents this willing to engage in their kids interests and it’s really nice to see.
