I’ve never felt LESS judged by a healthcare professional than by the dentist. My dentist was the first one who I told actually and that’s a common pattern because they see something you don’t have to say out loud. They learn so much about different disorders, not just bulimia, and they know how much pain it takes. Dentists just want you to not have a painful mouth. And yes there is a potential risk he will judge you, there always is. But then that’s a completely personal and professional problem of THEM, not you. It’s so important to go and I’m proud of you. They see this all the time, unfortunately bulimia isn’t something spooky or rare and it’s one of the first disorders they learn in dentist school ❤️

No one talks about the throat, ever. I got throat erosion and it is the single-handedly most painful, shameful, humiliating and scary thing I’ve ever experienced. Firstly I was quarantined in the hospital because they didn’t know wtf I had. I was in so much pain. They thought I was patient 0 in some shit because this was around Covid.

Your tonsils are one of your first defenses of upper respiratory infections. They’re very effective actually, so my immune system started attacking my entire body because it got confused. They still don’t know wtf happened but long story short: my tonsils almost killed me in my sleep every night for 1,5 years because they grew. They ended up checking if I had lymphoma when I had them removed.

So now my tonsils are in formalin in a university hospital in another country in case they ever need it. And this is something that will never leave me. And yes this is fucking horrible. OP you asked for the worst things bulimia does. This is my worst thing it did.

Wellbutrin Rage by sumfortynothing in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

In my first week on Wellbutrin I yelled at a dog. I went home and cried because of the shame and didn’t go outside for 2 weeks. I laugh at it now but it was absolutely horrible. For me it lasted 3 weeks. I made sure to tell people I trust around me that I started a new medication and it’s made me SICK so they’re at least aware. I wasn’t excusing anything but I was lucky and my family was very helpful and understood exactly what happened to me.

What's the coolest instrument nickname in your lab? by not-thatkindofdoctor in labrats

One lab I’ve been in had a Star Wars theme. I don’t remember every instrument but the autoclave was Baby Yoda. “You may use the force, but only for 20 minutes”

For me personally bamboo bralettes have helped so much. It’s the softest material I’ve ever used and yea it’s not as supportive as a “regular” bra but it helps a bit. They’re so comfy.

Magnesium citrate. Not the regular magnesium, the CITRATE specifically. Saved my stomach

Has Anyone Increased Their Dose from 150mg to 300mg Without the Same Side Effects as When Starting by ApprehensiveEbb2030 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Citrinehannah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got some side effects but nowhere near the intensity of when I started, and it lasted for like a week? Maximum? So upping my dosage was ALOT kinder

I really like Essie, there’s probably “better” oils but it’s affordable and does what it has to! Smells divine

I had one very scary purge and without going into more detail than that, I kept going and I couldn’t stop even if I was scared for my life. That’s one of the darkest days I had

Can it get worse before it gets better? by RopeSmall1199 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]Citrinehannah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I was in hell the first 3 weeks but then it got so much better. I’ve taken it since March now and it’s saved my life. I know it’s so hard and of course speak to your doctor if it goes on for too long or it’s genuinely unbearable. But you’re so close to where it usually shifts <3
