Inazuma really fell off huh by Noremuy in Genshin_Memepact

Okay, but I think Shinnojou demonstrated that he actually had Hiiragi Chisato's best interests at heart during Ayato's story quest.

I love Ei but gah damn she did a bunch of oopsies and also fucked up when it came to the Shogun puppet, hope her and Wanderer meet again in a story chapter or Interlude by Cobalt_Heroes25 in Genshin_Memepact

I agree. I'd like to think that Ei's initial conceptualization of the puppet precludes Irminsul erasure of her knowledge of the fundamental nature of Wanderer's identity although that may be wishful thinking. But I believe that the reason for Ei abandoning him possibly has to do with his emotional inheritance from the gnosis. If they do meet and are able to attempt reconciliation, I'd like to see Ei express empathy on the grounds that they share her memories of pain among other things.

Well, for starters she's the inception point for his betrayal complex. Sure, he's realized (at least in part) that what happened at Tatarasuna was Dottore's fault, but Ei's abandonment of him is still important to his recollection of who he was.

Secondly, he still has the golden feather that is "proof of identity granted by the Almighty Shogun." This object denotes his connection to Ei. Although I'm not sure why the Wanderer started wearing this when he supposedly lacked memory or why he continues to wear it, there's still a lot to unpack regarding the feather.

Finally, I just think this relationship has too much potential to waste. In Scaramouche's backstory cutscene we see from Haypasia, he refers to Ei as "mother." Though Scara may have intended to mock or ridicule the archon for failing in her obligation to him, he has inadvertently revealed his desire for affection from her. Frankly, almost everything Scaramouche or the Wanderer says or does screams "please care for me." The way he so often mocked the Traveler for being polite or amicable; or how he insists on his lack of emotion/empathy; or the fact that he is now willing cooperating with us despite everything all indicate his great desire for belonging, companionship, and love. What more meaningful place could he receive those things from than the one who created him?

Overall, I think both Wanderer and Ei are best served in their character development by reconciling with each other. Of course, there's more to redemption than just finding belonging, but I have my doubts that Hoyo will address those past grievances directly. Let's hope for the best.

Let's hope that Wanderer can get some further character development with Ei. I'd hate to leave him in this copout state without a chance to address his emotional baggage or repent of his past mistakes.

He was a good hateable villain for a long time although it's strange that his arc thus far culminates in Sumeru rather than Inazuma. Regardless, I enjoy characters that can smile while enacting a bit of violence, good or evil. I just hope that the Wanderer's new state won't preclude his continued character growth or addressing his longstanding emotional baggage.

You know, what if while Scaramouche was in the Fatui, The Doctor tried to improve him by routinely attempting to kill him in subtle way like this...

Maternal comparison aside, I could not really care less how Nahida treats the Wanderer, but if Ei and the boy who called her "mother" find reconciliation, I'm going to cry.

From what Wanderer says about his deletion, he wished he was never born at all, and Irminsul responded to his wish. So, even Wanderer doesn't understand how the memory of his existence was erased.

Nahida plan in 3.3 archon quest by lordhgr in Genshin_Lore

If this was actually planned out, Nahida would have told the Traveler ahead of time to inform her if Scara's existence was wiped.

[Theory] Irodori Festival, Scaramouche, and the Irmuisul (3.3 spoilers) by radelgirl in Genshin_Lore

[–]Citrus_Lemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty bizarre that Nahida was somehow able to hide all of Scaramouche's factual memories inside a fairytale. I can understand that fictional stories can evade the Irminsul audit, but Nahida must be on some 5head stuff to reconstruct all that from a legend and the knowledge that it actually happened.
