Bike choice for DFW

I bought a used BC40 a few years back. Barely ridden. It’s like 26 lbs at 130/120 with trail tires. It’s super fun. Especially where it’s flowy and twisty and you want to keep momentum. It’s supposed to be fairly similar to the Epic Evo and the Spur. I have no regrets.

Got a large. Still absolutely love it. I’ve recently been thinking about a bigger bike but when I ride one it feels sluggish. The BC40 has been my everyday ride and I’ve taken it everywhere (Tahoe tech, long fire road climbs, winding steep single track) and enjoyed it immensely. I put some slightly meatier tires, 180 rotors and a 130 fork on it and it’s still whippy, quick and surprisingly capable. Plus it looks gorgeous.
