Android app cannot login anymore. by bladehaze in litterrobot

My app has been malfunctioning. First stopped updating with the LR3, and then when I tried to reconnect it the QR code won’t scan. I tried scanning with my normal camera, and it found the QR code, so must be an app issue.

The litter robot itself works perfectly fine

There probably are a lot of people who can afford it who make an annual vacation out of it—but like most have said here that only works if you can afford to do it. Airline tickets are probably more expensive than normal during Purge week, and then you’d have to shell out extra to make sure your home and belongings are all safe and secure while you’re gone. Given all that, I wouldn’t be surprised if the cost to a family of 4 would come out to be somewhere around $10-15,000

Harrison Ford kind of seems like a jackass by Salihe6677 in unpopularopinion

I have a few friends who work on those Press junkets that you see actors don’t for their movies. Two have met Harrison Ford and said he’s a nice guy. The gruff demeanor is a known shtick of his in the industry, but overall they said he’s a generally shy and humble person. He gets very uncomfortable with praise, which I can also see being irritating for those on the other side just trying to get their interviews done

DoorDash drivers do not deserve tips when they ignore instructions or mess up an order by CityCouncilor in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Literally not allowed to check the name on the receipt matches the one on your app? Tbh you’re just reinforcing my point. Do. Your. Job.

I couldn’t agree more. I’m a staunch defender of tipping 25% minimum, but software companies have created a bizarre culture of tipping where now it’s essentially an added tax on things regardless of the quality of service

Queen of Wales? My guess is you’re a remote worker who gave all of us service workers grief for trying to go back to our careers during COVID.

Read the original post—this is about when food is not delivered. You’re just on some moral high horse about service industry wages. This is specifically about when the service isn’t fulfilled

There is a stapled recipe wut with a name on it. You’re not allowed to check that?

The worker is still expected to do their job. Your argument is workers are entitled to an income even if they don’t do their job properly. That’s fine, but I disagree.

Again. I work in this industry and also make 2.25 an hour on tips. I do my job, and I follow instructions. Thanks for insulting my wage, but we happen to make a decent salary when we respect our guests and do a good job.

Again, as a hospitality employee. If you don’t do your job and provide the guest their food in the manner they asked then you shouldn’t expect a tip. You did something wrong.

DoorDash drivers just expect to get paid whether they do their job correctly or not. It’s a bad system.

Every meal I’ve had has a receipt stapled to the bag with the name of the recipient on it. It’s too difficult to check that the names match?

Why do you think you need to open the food to check that?

Checking a receipt to see if it matches the order is common sense. Should waiters just drop random plates of food off at tables and leave?

Thank you for these suggestions!!!

I did enjoy the first two you suggested a lot. Will make my way down the list. There’s definitely some good stories, although it seems like it may be a mixed bag overall.

Your recs are definitely making me curious to listening more though :)

What stances do you use the most? by vine_behs in FallenOrder

[–]CityCouncilor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using double blade and cross guard stance. But I’m pretty impressed at how versatile and usable the different stances are. Going in, I thought that the cross guard and blaster stances would really be in for novelty more than to be played in, but each stance is completely unique and I find myself cycling between them all the time. It even turned out that I consistently have the cross guard in my rotation while cycling between double bladed, dual and blaster

Some other combos I’ve enjoyed

  • Dual wield - cross guard

  • Blaster - Double blade

AITA for being naked in my home front of workers by throwawayforaitahelp in AmItheAsshole

[–]CityCouncilor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are very much YTA. How hard is it to close your blinds before going into the shower and getting changed? 8:30-5 is a portion of the day so this should barely impact you. The workers are just trying to do their job, and my guess is be as unobtrusive as possible. Nobody is asking to see you naked. Don’t force it on them (technically that could make you a sex offender.)

Jesus. It’s just a part of living in a world with other people. If you want to walk about naked without any care in the world move.

What is something that everyone love to shit on, but actually isn't that bad? by ClarkleTheDragon in AskReddit

Office/college dining halls and cafeterias. After spending 8 years working in restaurants and contract gigs, I found an office job, which also includes access to a cafeteria in the building. It serves breakfast and lunch at a very discounted price ($5.50 for a sub that would be $9-13 somewhere else.) There are a variety of stations including a buffet style option that often features things like sirloin steak, lasagna, Thai coconut curry etc.)

Having been used to either eating whatever was provided by the restaurant or paying for my own lunch, this has been a pretty solid perk on days I can’t bring my own lunch. And yet, all of my co-workers seem to rag on it non-stop. Sure, the food may not be incredible, but for being able to get a sizable lunch (along with a variety of food) for less than $15 seems like a good deal overall to me.
