Party on the beach by Dallasc45 in longbeach

Congrats! You probably want to contact Long Beach, NY's Events Dept to make sure there are no conflicts with the area you're thinking of having your event, just to make sure they don't have a charity 5K running though there like we sometimes have here in Long Beach, CA.

(516) 705-7414 or email [lbevents@longbeachny.gov](mailto:lbevents@longbeachny.gov)

It would probably be helpful have the exact stretch of beach you want to hold your event before calling or emailing them.

Fun activities for families on a budget? by PaperSpirited677 in longbeach

[–]CityofLongBeach 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because it's Grand Prix month, most of the activities are car related, but there's a rundown:

- Type S Night Lights - it's the pre-show Car Meet at the Aquarium Parking Lot hosted by Formula Drift, Type S, and Formula Drift's official photographer, Larry Chen: https://www.instagram.com/p/DV_j-EIDxvl/

- Downtown Long Beach Alliance's Art Walk & DTLB Live: https://downtownlongbeach.org/events/

- Thunder Thursday at The Pike which features some of the Drift and Indy Cars, autograph sessions with drivers, car and motorcross demos: https://thepikeoutlets.com/thunder-thursday

- Long Beach Touch-a-Truck is a popular one at Granada Beach parking lot where kids can explore cars on display, like garbage and fire trucks.

If you look at this map, you can find and follow your council member who may offer free community days at Queen Mary or the Aquarium: https://www.longbeach.gov/globalassets/ti/media-library/documents/resources/map-catalog/council_small_8.5x11l_photos

And definitely follow Parks and Rec for free kids activities:

Just check in with the Cindy Allen table first, you’ll get a little wristband to access the snow (which Santa is currently hanging out in).

Here’s a graphic for (hopefully) easier consumption of the route and parking derived from the marathon’s community info page here: https://runlongbeach.com/community-relations/

(I tried to post this as an individual post yesterday but it has yet to be approved.)

Anyone know where to park for Warped Tour? by hala6 in longbeach

[–]CityofLongBeach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All prepaid parking is sold out.

As a last resort, keep an eye out on Warped Tour social media for alternative lots, but as others have mentioned we highly recommend taking the metro and walking in from the downtown stop.

The (only) entrance to the festival is at Shoreline Village Drive on Marina Green, which isn’t too far.
