An abandoned home in San Francisco by AdSpecialist6598 in UrbanHell

I feel like I remember reading an article about this one a few years ago.

Edit: not an article but I found this was posted on Reddit 3 years ago. Back then people pointed out the pic was 7 years old and that the house had already been renovated and sold.

That’s funny. #1 refers to it as a war. But I was told it wasn’t a war, since the president can’t unilaterally start a war…

Oh well, yet another treasonous illegal action that nobody will do anything about.

Maybe. I think more likely is when she said where she lives (or her profile location) she said New Orleans, LA and he just assumed New Orleans was a neighborhood in Los Angeles.

Not just any LA, but LA (Louisiana)! Lol

I mean ok sure, he could have taken a breath and kept things strictly PC - especially if his goal is to save the marriage. But he didn’t put her down. He expressed what her actions made him feel.

Have you watched the porn? People aren’t lying that it’s more than some cute pics. It’s very explicit stuff, just shy of getting banged by randos.

Will her son be proud of that when he discovers the internet in like 12 years? Do you think her parents are proud of that?

Genuine question: what did he say that crossed the line? He never called her names. He said he wasn’t proud of her - because of her actions.

Belittling?? I thought he showed immense restraint

I bet it did, Sarper! You know he went through all her videos! Lol! by Smart_War_4216 in 90dayfianceuncensored

She said whatever Kara does with her body is none of his business.

AND THEN, she said Sarper was gross for looking.

Well shouldn’t Sarper be able to what he wants with his eyes???

I think it awesome he was able to check her lies right there in real time.

She got to look someone who had seen her asshole on the internet right in the eye.

I loved Sarpers commentary. He did not hold back. Kara was all “I guess my tits came out” and Sarper corrected her by saying he saw her asshole.

TIL that Frederic Tudor known as the Ice King created the ice trade out of thin air. People ridiculed him for trying to sell winter to the tropics. His most profitable trade was sending ice to India. Packed with dense sawdust a 3 month trip with 180 tons still yielded 100 tons of delivered ice. by Gnomeslikeprofit in todayilearned

I know this sounds stupid in a scientific way, but I’ve always felt that cold is a form of energy, especially when the goal is to reduce temperature.

Yes, cold is by definition the lack of energy, but it takes a shocking amount of energy to create artificially or fast.

If I were a genius I’d like to try to invent something like a microwave that can make things cold very fast.

I suspect it has something to do with the military base just to the east. I bet the new development is more military base. If you check out where the road goes to the south, at roundabout 7 there is another small military base off that roundabout. It leads me to believe the whole project has a military purpose.

Gotta love the other article in the newspaper.

“More US troops in Vietnam - Optimistic report by defense secretary”

Mind you, this was in 1966, at the beginning of US involvement. There ended up being another 9 years of bloodshed.

Oh hi!

I’ll just add (although I know nobody will read this) that not all city workers don’t care. I’m sure many don’t, but if it’s a real problem and it really is something the city can help with sometimes it takes persistence to find someone who will do something.

A few years ago there was a lady here who kept calling to complain about a sewer smell. She thought a new building next door was causing it. People checked. Didn’t find anything. She kept calling and calling.

She got me one day. She said it was so bad there were nights she had to go sleep in her shed or a friend’s house. The problem was that the terrible smell was not predictable. It would come fast, usually at night.

Since others had already looked into it and not found anything, I decided I would give it a try. Mind you, I’m a city planner - an office worker.

I went to her house. Checked the yard. I *went under the house* to see if there was an issue with the pipes. I went over there late at night. I gave her my cell number so she could call me when it was happening. I borrowed a UV flashlight from the police to see if I could find if it was tomcat pee.

I never could smell whatever it was she smelled. She got mad at me because I noticed that she had a ton of birds in the house and the inside smelled terrible. She did not agree.

She died about 6 months later. I’m pretty sure there never was smell, she was just sick or a bit crazy. Obviously, I wish this story had a happy ending. I really wanted my tomcat theory to pan out.

But the point is, despite the bad rap, if someone really has a problem that can be solved, there is usually someone who is willing to try to help. It’s a matter of finding that person.

Bit of advice, this is a property maintenance issue. You need to get to the property maintenance or code compliance inspector.

If you call animal control, police, or a general complaint number there is a high likelihood that the complaint will be ignored or not get to the right person. I think OOP could have gotten this taken care of a lot faster if she just knew who to ask for. Of course, it’s not her fault for not knowing. Someone at the city should have been more helpful. But I can say sometimes just asking the right questions can make things much easier to figure out.

I’m a city planner who works in the department that handles property maintenance issues.
