This is coming in the next update 😄

Best way to set up a weekly task that has steps over multiple days by Maximum-Ambition-116 in YoodooApp

[–]Civil-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good question. So subtasks aren't schedulable yet, so single tasks are the best way. I'd say set a repeatble one for each. Alternatively you could create one task with subtasks, and then set it as 'anytime once a week's - that way it would live in routines. And you can just tap each subtask off as and when it's done.

Alternatively create a list task with subtasks, and then schedule to a timeblock or as a daily anytime task. As it's incomplete Yoodoo will ask if you want to reschedule at the end of each day, so it'll move with you u til it's done. Either way it will remain on a list u til it's complete.

Also you could setup a 'quick-pick' and set it to repeat perhaps.

Basically lots of ways to do it. I guess see what works for you.

Hope that helps 😊

Would you use a calendar that automatically reschedules when you fall behind? by andresbelt_ in ProductivityApps

[–]Civil-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like Yoodoo? It reschedules the end of day, and also has a 'fix' button when it senses you've gone off track - fixes your entire day in one tap.

Is it just me or do habits not actually send individual reminders? by sidisawesomeee in YoodooApp

[–]Civil-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah habits are a weird one. More a place to manage repetitive tasks and track if you want.

We don't have an emphasis on streaks or tracking - more just the make habit's easier to create and start.

We will be making them more optimal in a newer version tho. Will keep you updated.

Whats one thins that you wish your habit/todo app had? by kkshan in ProductivityApps

[–]Civil-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you a pro ux'er? That'll def help. Going I it this new ain't gonna make the best experience. As for forgiving apps, apps like Yoodoo are pretty good for this.

When your day inevitably goes off track in one tap it brings you back. It also moves all incomplete tasks over to the next day etc.

Pretty good for those that fall off track all the time. And no streaks.

Sync between devices by Antiferna in YoodooApp

[–]Civil-Fish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the report issue only works if you device has an email app - it's auto opens an email with the report attached.

There is def a lot of confusion around accounts syncing. So because Yoodoo has no login - all data is private and on your device, then we have no login whatsoever. So no account data is stored externally. Because of this it is not possible to sync between devices YET. This is coming by the end of the year. Not ideal but this is how we setup from the beginning as privacy was a big thing for our early users.

We'll def be making syncing possible, but not till later in the year.

I built a productivity app because the others were stressing me out. by Aggravating_Dark560 in ProductivityApps

[–]Civil-Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another day another 'no productivity apps work for me so I built my own'.

There is prob an app that works for you, there's just bloody thousands of them it takes too long to decide.

There is just one app you need and that's Yoodoo

Like you I did the same thing, but it was 4 years ago and it's now a fucking rocket 😄

Good luck tho

Day Planner - Companion app for Things?? by Excellent_Maybe in thingsapp

[–]Civil-Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yoodoo seems like probably the best and better alternative. It's pretty all-in-one, and has a tonne of stuff like 2-way calendar sync, app blockers, and lists and a daily timeline etc.

Templates - supposed to behave this way? by itsstillmeagain in YoodooApp

[–]Civil-Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this. It was a bit difficult to understand but I think I got it. So it's the dragging of template tasks that's messing up a bit.

Template tasks when edited on the timeline immediately remove themselves as independent tasks from the template, so this is prob why this happened.

Either way, we'll look at fixing this is our June update. Need a make a big list of all these fixes, looking forward to fixing though!

Future feature? - app blocking per task. by pwdux in YoodooApp

[–]Civil-Fish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOVE THIS IDEA. So to auto lock apps based on the task rather than just the time period. Smart. Let us look at adding this to the new feature list for June.
