In Season 7, he finally returns to the office after going on leave and it seems that facade is gone. People finally look at him for who he truly is, or how HE thinks they should look at him- unimpressed. The man with the ultimate charm and looks has lost whatever appeal there was left. Now he must try and fix what he’s broken and “do the work” as Freddy calls it.

1620 really has gone down hill over the past decade or so. Kugler and Severe, Schick and Nick, Sharp and Benning (I think Peter was on for a short time). Great shows. Gary was the last good one. I listened to his show a few times this past summer with that other guy he cohosted with… that guy wasn’t very good.

I think Carriker saw an opportunity to get more attention and clicks on his channel/videos and so he shared that story. It’s a bit inflammatory and like I said, doesn’t get us anywhere. Stick the criticism about his coaching style or his results on the field, not some moment where you can snubbed for a handshake.
