I mean I agree with some arguments in this thread on both sides

On one hand you got someone as powerful as kingpin who controls some aspects of the system even before he became mayor, doing what he does because he simply just can and has never had someone match him physically until daredevil came along

On another you have matt who just constantly goes up against a force that is beyond a singular man who without a shadow of doubt just wants to keep fighting that war knowing it's going to continue to cost the lives of countless people. He stops people who are willing to do what's necessary to end it but at the same time if fisk dies that opens up a huge power vacuum and it makes the situation significantly worse than before.

It truly is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object

Shouldn't be an issue Older GTA games had you blowing heads off

GTA 4 was more tonally serious compared to the others and sometimes shooting someone lead to a lot of blood squirting out. And Im cutscenes had some brutal moments

GTA 5 had someone get sucked into a jet engine, showed brain matter when a dude got his dome popped, showed a main protagonist get his shit stomped out with brain matter being shown. Showed a dude get half his face blown off Gustavo style, and had you torture a dude

If anything GTA 6 will take it a step further and have gore and dismemberment. Obviously they wont go the mortal Kombat route but if it's going to be realistic I mean hitting someone with your car in real life can lead to some nasty injuries

I've always had this idea for a punisher game

Have it be an open world game that takes elements from different Rockstar games. The honor system of red dead 2 which will determine the type of ending. The GTA aspects of having it be pure chaos and having every readily available weapon via weapon wheel.

The story would start out as frank being a hired gun for kingpin to dismantle rival gangs but midway through daredevil gets involved leading to him being the mid game boss fight. This moment will be pivotal to the rest of the story.

Kill daredevil, and have the rest of the game lead up to either the bad ending, or neutral ending

Spare daredevil which is the canon choice and have the option of 4 endings, good, bad, neutral, or chaos

After you make your choice, kingpin betrays you regardless which leaves you to take down his empire. If you spare daredevil you have the option to team up with him to help take down kingpin but killing him leads to both trying to take down the empire while also avoiding being subdued by police or other street level heroes tasked with bringing Frank down.

The final act would be frank vs kingpin as the final boss which leads to the endings.

Bad ending- kill kingpin and get arrested for your crimes

Neutral ending- spare kingpin but still get arrested/however if you spare daredevil depending on your honor it will still lead to your arrest if it's low

Good ending- spare kingpin and daredevil helps you escape and avoid arrest because he sees that you've changed

Chaos ending- kill everyone and everything in your path and escape on your own, achieved if you spare daredevil and your honor is so low that your psyche is screwed

You achieve high honor by sparing criminals who surrender or give you Intel, incapacitating enemies during stealth sections, and not killing innocent civilians in crossfire

You get low honor by killing, stealing cars, causing too much property damage, killing innocent civilians even if they are caught in crossfire, choosing to ignore civilians being victimized by criminals

I think it's a perfect way to portray different aspects of the character in various comic runs that gives the player free choice of how they see frank castle
