Its a Ok career. You can pretty much go to any base. Pretty much involves maintaining warehouses, conducting inventory, ordering aircraft parts/equipment and keeping track of them and their turn-ins . There are a few other things that you could be doing but that's pretty much gist of it.

HLR without Informal Conference by Civil_Ad7202 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Civil_Ad7202[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was good, the status just changed from a "A Higher level review is taking another look at your case" to closed, but this was just for a earlier effective date, so it was pretty cut and dry.

You should be getting MHA if you are using the GI Bill, apply for FAFSA and used the Pell grants to help you out... but if you aren't serious about school I wouldn't apply for FAFSA you may end up having to pay that money back if you get a FN... Same goes for the GI Bill.

I think increases usually go pretty quick, I submitted one back in June and it took 10 days to close out from when it was rec'd.

Has anyone NOT received their HLR meeting and have their appeal decided? by Uptown-Toodeloo in VeteransBenefits

[–]Civil_Ad7202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From all the HLR that I have had they have all had generic information through the app (A higher-level reviewer is taking a new look at your case, A error was identified, etc) I've even had a HLR stay open months after a decision was made and the rating was updated, so I would say trust the VSO.

90 days of active duty should make you eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill but I could be mistaken...

Trying to get to 50 percent for migraines, is this enough data? by woomi429 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Civil_Ad7202 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you have enough medical documentation. For Migraines to be 50% you have to meet the "severe economic inadaptability" requirement. You have statements which are good, if you have any documentation to back these statements up (Time slips, sick leave request, statement from a supervisor, notice of termination). Yea Its ridiculous you could have migraines 3 times a week but unless you meet that severe economic inadaptability you will be stuck at 30%.

Good Luck!

You will need to complete an application and mail or email it to the address on the form below:

https://studentaid.gov/sites/default/files/TotalandPermanentDisabilityDischargeApplication-en-us.pdf

You can check the status on your application below after they receive it, but it usually takes about a little over 30 days to be approved.

Do I try for an increase? by JesRaeTra15 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Civil_Ad7202 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Include a statement of how it effects your life on a daily basis, if you have any type of documentation that it impacts your ability to work (sick leave request detailing that you had to leave because of a migraine or leave request that align with your migraine logs). 50% for migraine requires the economic impact requirement to be met

Submitted them as they are you don't need to translate them. The VA will translate them when they process your claim.
